Good Evening All,

The pulled muscle is getting much better. Boy that was very painful glad its gone.

Been having big problems with our cable. Our DVR box was getting old and was giving us problems so we got a new box. Brought that home and couldn't make it work. (after working on it with the cable co for 2 hours.) Went back today and got another box. That works but it will go blck on us for about 3 secs. Comes right back. Had a tech out here this afternoon. He changed the HDMI cord. He no sooner left the house and it started up again. The cable co called me with a customer satisfaction survey. Well I wasn't real satisfied. They called me back tonight and wanted to noe why I wasn't happy. She gave me some numbers to call to talk with somone who can fix it. So I will call in the morning. I told them this must be fixed before Super Bowl.

Morning all,

It was in the 20's here this morning. We are expecting three storms each progressively worse bringing rain wind and snow starting tonight. But to look at the sky right now I wouldn't believe it.

Deni sorry about the pulled muscle. All you can do is let it rest and not push it (Ha! this coming from me!) I know it's hard to do.

I am feeling better and not coughing as much. The med the Dr gave seems to be working nut I'm out of it now and it's not refillable but hopefully I won't need it anymore.

Cathy I am pretty sure it is a popped blood vessel, although the way it hurt in the beginning it could have been either.

My wife asked me if I would like to move back to Texas this morning. I said I wouldn't mind but I;m sure things have changed a lot since I last lived there so we would need to start looking at the different areas and see if it is really something we want to do.

Yesterday was a very busy day. I went to the VA clinic at 7 in the morning, then came home and cleaned the barn. Then went and got another ton of hay because what we use is getting harder to obtain. I'd get more but at 200.00 a ton I can't afford more than 2 ton at a time, and space is tight, although I could probably store 4. Then I worked n the garage untill dark.

This morning after I feed and clean the barn I'l hit the stationary bike and then back out into the garage. I have a bunch of recyclables I need to take in so I might do that if I have the time.

Good Afternoon All,

Winter has reached us up here. Its been very cold all week and had a little snow with more on the way. Seems I feel the cold more and more latlely. I don't mind the snow its the bitter cold.

All week I've been taking care of my pulled musle and it was getting better. Couldn't take looking at the carpet anymore so I got out the vac and bingo its back to were it was before Should know better but you understand can look at the mess for just so long.

Cathy, sounds like you had a good apt the other day. I'm glad for you you deserve it.

Rick are you feeling any better yet? Sure hope so.

Deni, hope you feel better soon!

Rick, because of the bruise, it sounds like you either popped a blood vessel? from all the coughing or you cracked a rib!

It's been cold here at night but the temps get up into the 70's during the day. It's really nice! It's raining here right now with some thunder...we needed the rain as everything was getting dried out.

We were at the chiropractor today and I saw a nutritionist. She put me on some homepathic supplements and is starting me with just a couple until my system can get used to it, and then will continue with a few more. Once my body is stronger and some of the toxins are gone, she has a special diet that will help me lose weight and balance my hormones. Since I went thru menopause, I have not been able to lose weight plus I gained back most of all I had lost before. Sure hope it works as I have tried everything!

Cathy you certainly have been busy! Hope things work out well all around.

Deni, I feel for you, and hope you get better soon.

Threads cannot be deleted but they eventually just keep getting moved down until they disappear, so I wouldn't worry about it and don't let it make you shy about starting threads because it happens to all of us..

And in answer to your question on the other thread Deni. When you get a notification that a new member has joined, it is just Sparks letting you know someone has joined. However if you click on their logo it will take you to their page where you can welcome them in their comment section. If they decide to post a message it will show up as "A new message has been posted in Sparks with Lupus thread"

I don't know if I mentioned it but I was coughing so hard my muscles in my stomach and side hurt pretty bad. The other night when I had a coughing fit I thought I heard something pop in my side. and I noticed Sunday I now have a bruise on my side almost the size of a football. I must of pulled the muscle in my side.

Yesterday was strange, when I got up at 3:30 it was 42 out and by tn it ha dropped to 27 and eventually made it back to the upper 40's. This morning it is 17 and sunny and hopefully will get into the 50's. Rain is expected by tomorrow evening.

I have to get some blood work done this morning so I am fasting till it is done, aside from this not much else today. and going to work.

Got run, the vampire is waiting.

Good Evening Folks,

Got up from my chair yesterday to get the cloths out of the dryer and pulled a musle in the groin. I can hardly walk without pain. I've been putting heat on it every 2 or 3 hours. Guess you just need to wait it out till it gets better.

That's OK Deni. I had gone into the weekly thread to start the week off but when I posted, it ended up on the general board. I don't know how that happens but it does sometimes. I think there is a way to delete your own posts...I've just never done it. I know you can edit them so I'm sure you can delete them. But don't worry about it. It's not a problem to leave it there.

After breakfast this morning, I went back to bed and slept a couple more hours and hubby did too. I guess this week really wore us both out. The 3 antibiotics are causing him stomach trouble and now he has loose BM's. I know antibiotics can do that so maybe it's a matter of his body getting used to them or maybe 3 are too many. Hope we can get some answers from his PCP tomorrow and hope the hospital faxed over the reports.

Our family issues are good and bad. I had been posting on FB about the week at the hospital and some family members sent Don messages hoping he would be ok etc. so that made him feel a lot better and he sent them messages back. Then we got a 'not so nice' email from my daughter which also included my son and DIL's names. My DIL did not know her name would be included and she said my son had put some input into the letter but it was mostly from my daughter. So we need to address that this week. We both got on the video chat today and talked to the grandkids and my son and DIL. They seemed ok and they both talked to Don and he felt better about it. So we realise it was mostly my daughters issues with my hubby.

Anyway, Don has been watching football most of the day in between naps, some reading and puzzles. I'm going to work on some 'homework' we have from our bible class. We weren't able to do any of it this week so we're behind. Then watch a show at 8.

We have a busy week...doctor appts....board meetings...a card tournament...grocery shopping and I need to do some shopping for the house. My mom is coming for a visit the end of the month for 2 weeks. The extra bedroom needs new sheets and a few other homey touches.

Hi Cathy,

I am so sorry I didn't notice you had started the week off. I only checked in the weekly check in forum. Need to check all the places I guess. Not sure how to delete my check in so if you could do it that would be great. If I have time to sit with it and see if I can do it I will.

Morning all
No church today as hubby does not feel well, think he picked up a cold and neither of us got much sleep last night. We were talking about issues again and were up late. I think I will go back to bed in awhile as I don't want to trigger a migraine.
