Yes, I always fasten my seat belt. I do hate the shoulder belts because they are so uncomfortable. I began fastening my seat belt back in 1960s. I felt more comfortable because it eliminated so much swaying back and forth.
I've worn mine since August 1993, when someone lost control of their car & hit me head on.
I didn't use my seat belt often, but for some reason put it on about half way from the doctor's office I was leaving & the place where I was hit. The car was totaled & the policeman told me the next day that he really didn't want to come over to my car because there was no way anyone driving that car had survived.
Obviously I did.
I won't let anyone ride in my car without their seatbelt on.
Worn them ever since they became law and occasionally before if I didn't trust the driver. Wouldn't take the grandchildren in a vehicle unless in car seats, but held my oldest in my lap, use to stand myself on the front see holding on to my dad's shoulder.

I have worn my seat belt since they were put in cars. I think seat belts keep insurance down. If they could come up with a way so it didn't have to be a law and people that use their seat belt aren't penalized, I'd be for it. I think police have enough to do without looking to see if you have a seat belt on.

I always wear a seat belt. One sister and brother-in-law don't put the car in motion until they've verified that everyone has their seat belt fastened. They're the ones who were in a car accident where all the occupants escaped and probably death (car went over an embankment and rollted multiple times) because they were all wearing their seat belts, which was uncharacteristic at that time. (They were also in a volvo. They bought their first volvo shortly after the accident and still both drive only volvo and always fasten seat belts more than 20 years later) The rest of the family is just slightly more relaxed about it, but the question will be asked - "Everybody have their seat belt fastened?"
