I'm not as good at it as I once was, but as some of you may know, I recently got back in touch with my in-laws. I've been talking via Facebook to some of them & have gotten together with two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, two nieces & assorted others since then. I guess I have to thank Facebook for that. I sent a message to one brother-in-law in California & started hearing from the others. It was just like I'd never left except for catching up on who the children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren belong to.
Also got reconnected about a year ago with a woman I knew when we were both little girls. She lived two houses away & we played together all the time until they moved away. We've corresponded via Facebook & met a couple of times.
I send out and annual christmas card both snail and electric to relatives. I have connected with a lot of distant relatives on FB and use FB as an extension to my genealogy tools where I can collect photos of family.
I started sending Christmas cards about 20 years ago just to keep in touch. I include a note of the years' events and most responders do too. I do not send to friends who do not reciprocate. I find this is a perfect way - some I've never met, some I haven't seen for years but through the cards we have continued a friendship.
Jackie I'm a Halloween baby but many years ago.
5'1.5" - I shrunk from 5'4" Summer: Minesota Winter: Arizona (as of Dec. '08)
Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of March 2017. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2017 to be back to below 155.
