If anyone else is following this conversation, I think I have pinpointed the problem. I used the "share" link on Ancestry & obviously they didn't follow through. I was wondering why Donna didn't respond to my request. I've had problems with Ancestry before when someone contacted me about my line & when I tried to respond Ancestry kept sending me error messages. Not a good track record for the amount of money we spend to subscribe.

I've sent you several records, but haven't heard back from you. I'm wondering now if I have the correct email address.

I also requested a little more information as to some suggested dates for the names you gave me.

I'll send you a spark mail so we can get this straighten out.

I haven't heard anything from the 2 people here who offerred to help me, so I was just wondering if the offer still stands. I realize I listed quite a few names, but ANYTHING would be a help!

That's really cool! I don't know why these aren't really free.

I've actually found a few names that I believe are all my relatives. Maybe one of you could take my father's line & the other take my mother's line. This could tie in a lot of things for me.

On my father's side:

Clinton V Dunham, b. 28 Jan 1987, Oswego County
William C Dunham, b 1921, Res NY, Oswego
Wilbur Eugene Dunham, b 17 Jan 1884, Green, NY
William H Burritt (there are 2 records for him)
William J. Burritt, Oswego County (middle initial doesn't match, but rest of info does)
Albert Perkins (not sure on this one as I have no info on him, but his father, Uriah, was supposed to be a Rev Solider, yet I can't find a record on him)
George Marrice James, Oswego County

On my mother's side:

Adrian Guyer, Oswego County
Harry Hugh Guyer, Oswego County
Herbert Michael Guyer, Oswego County
Charles Orland Crouch, b 1899, Oswego County
John Henry Crouch, b 3 Nove 1891, Oswego County
Henry Crouch, 9 N.Y.H. Art'y, 9th Reg NY Heavy Art (3 records on him)
Daniel Bailey, Fulton, NY

Unfortunately, I don't have much to go on when researching my family tree. This could end up being a HUGE jump for me!

My email address is: ddunham@twcny.rr.com.

Thanks for all of your help!

I just spark mailed you. I have a bunch of names. You needn't do this all at once. I appreciate any help you can give. Thank you in advance!

Well, this is annoying. I've been searching the military records since you posted this & finally found a record I want, but it won't let me see the image unless I enter my password. Since I'm not a member, I don't have one, nor can I afford to subscribe. Guess they aren't really free, huh?

Ancestry.com has free access to military records until 5/31. I found several of my relatives from the first and second world war drafts. There is information from the revolutionary war to all conflicts. You can even print copies of the original material in some cases.
