I lost my happy little one pound this week. I only get in trouble when I get impatient and start messing with my food plan - "must lose faster!" pffft!

You're doing great Lisa. I can't even imagine trying to run again. I used too years ago and loved it but I break bones easily these days and I'd be afraid of falling. Last time I fell I broke my wrist and had to have 3 plates, 8 screws, and 18 staples. And even after over 1-1/2 years, it's still bothering me at times.

Slow and steady its been going :) I have been back on track since December 28!! I am back running again :) Something Physio said I might not be able to do again...but I am!!! I have lost 11 inches and 14 lbs! I haven't seen scale move in a bit now though but the inches are melting off every week. :)
I have had some new health challanges but I am hopeful that I am doing the right things to turn things around! I am way to young to deal with bad arthritis so taking care of my joints before I can't move at all. Keep moving!! Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

Good Morning, or what's left of it. Hope you're having a good day.
I just called to pre-register Bob for blood work in the morning for 2 doctor's. Luckily it only takes one needle to do it all as he's needle phobic. Hoping the lab work doesn't show he's having new issues. I'm afraid his sugar could be up. He's a borderline diabetic and take Metformin for that, but they may want to increase his dosage if it's an issue and he won't be happy with that. But we'll see what the lab work shows.

feb is almost over. it has been going by quickly i have not been doing well with my weight loss coals. i keep dropping and losing the same 4 lbs. I am going to have a wierd eating weight because i will have some teeth pulled on thursday so i will have to eat soft foods.

If you have any problems with aspartame, then stay away from them. But if artificial sweetners aren't a problem, you might find other flavors you like.

Good Morning All,I finally weighed myself and lost only one lb.but amazed I lost that as I have been eating way to much and today is my birthday so I am eating lunch out and fixing a large steak dinner for just the two of us.He will have his lobster tail and I will have some xtra large orange flavored shrimp which is what I prefer. Maybe will bake some fresh biscuits also. I will get back on track tomorrow but will still exercise today.

I'm going back to weighing every day (sometimes morning and evening). It's the only way I can keep on top of the weight loss. It will be a long time before my clothes fit comfortably enough that I notice the difference, and I'm NOT buying any in a larger size. I despise shopping anyway. If I can't find something in the first 15 min or so, I'm out of there.

I haven't weighed myself in over two weeks now but I feel like I haven't lost any weight because I just eat to much.Think I will weigh myself(if I remember to) tomorrow morning.I can and I think most people can feel and tell if they have lost weight by their clothes.I do think the scale helps keep you honest but I don't want to become a slave to it.I have lost some weight but DH has lost almost all of his fat.He is very close to his target weight but even he is gaining back a lb.or two as he is eating more these days.I love to cook and that is part of my problem we just eat to darn much because most of the time it is so goooood.Portion distortion is a very real problem to us. For the past two days as I was walking to work I would get as far as the end of the block and some neighbor would pick me up and take me on to work. Then I'd get a ride home. Nice but not so good on the walking. Anyway it snowed again last night, the kids have only had one day at school this week.

We are buried in snow up here in Ohio. Walking the dog is a challenge because many people have not cleared their sidewalks. The worst is the ends of the block, though. We live on a long, narrow block that has main streets at both ends. The plows through really deep, heavy snow onto the sidewalks at the ends, and wow is that a slog to get through. Good cardio though!

Not doing so well so far. Too much mindless snacking and not enough exercise. Why do I keep sabotaging myself? I see the way I look and I know it's not healthy. Feel like such an idiot. Well, my colors are now pinned to the mast. I have signed up for a 10-mile race and 3 triathlons. That's money spent, my friends. Gonna have to get myself to the pool and out to run!

45 degrees here in Central Florida ( during the day. ) Sophie is loving the cold weather and staying out longer and I see her playing with her toys. For me I'll be glad when we get back to the weather Florida is known for in the winter. I hope I do better in February I seemed to lose and gain the same 5 lbs this month ugh !!

It's definitely still cold. But we are almost through with January! I was out near the lake yesterday, where the wind was really blasting, and I couldn't help thinking, "This is absurd! There is no way that the world should feel like this!" Which is completely silly, but my brain was just rejecting it all! Which made me laugh.

At least it's above 0. Above 0, puppy can go for her walk. Below 0, it's just too cold for her little paws.

It warmed up enough (40s-low 50s) to have the work day at church. Cleaned out some of the storage bins and the main storage room in the church. It looks so much better, but I am sore. Not used to being on my feet so much. A hot bath tonight will help.

Hope the weather warms up a little more, but I think we're in for more cold.

-1 here this morning. Pup, who usually has to be walked 3/4 of a mile to "do her business," decided about 8 houses away that this was far enough!

I got a great workout yesterday shoveling our driveway and the neighbor's driveway. She is a single mom who isn't in good shape, so I try to help her out. When I used the snowblower, I did her driveway, so I figured I'd do the same with my shoveling workout.

My goddaughter had an MRI yesterday and there is no sign of the cancer regrowing, which is great news. We aren't out of danger yet, but every good MRI is a blessing!

Cold, cold, and colder. There's even been snow flurries in the northern part of the county. This is on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Time to put a pot of soup on the stove.

It has been -40's here for the last few days. I haven't gone out much, as I have been sick. Today is the first day I have felt half decent. Doing child care at church tomorrow morning and have my Small Group Bible Study tomorrow night.

It was 28 this morning when I got up. No going to the gym for me. Started off the morning with a good bowl of oatmeal with apples and cinnamon.

Being self-employed means there is never really a short week!

It's about 7 degrees here, but only a dusting of snow. Puppy and I made our usual walk this morning, which generally takes us about 20 minutes, in 16. We were both ready to be back in out of the cold!

It's a short work week, which always makes it a good week. Have gotten up and walked around the building and climbed stairs up & down for 30 minutes. emoticon

Used my rice cooker and was pleased with the results. May need to tweak things just a bit. Time to try some wild rice. I have a recipe for wild rice and mushroom soup.

Fell off a little this weekend, and haven't been to the gym this week. But voice lesson this afternoon and chorale rehearsal this evening will definitely burn some calories.

My rice cooker sits at the back of the narrow counter next to my range, which is a space that isn't very useful for the most part, so it's never in the way of anything.

We haven't gotten enough snow here to require shoveling, but it's definitely cold again! I am in a hibernation mood--no interest in going out in that stuff!

I definitely have to get to work with my rice cooker. It sits away in a closet so I never think of it. I do it on the stove or in my microwave rice cooker - good but not as good as it should be. Off to the treadmill for a bit and then to shovel snow.

My rice cooker is my most-used appliance, but we eat a LOT of rice. It's our favorite starch hereabouts.

Got almost no exercise over the weekend because we were at a convention and spending time with friends. Now it's snowing. Have to walk the dog, and then get on the Nordictrack for a while! I have a lot of fitness minutes to get through if I'm gonna make my January goal of 2000!

Let me know how you like your rice cooker. Someone gave me one a long time ago and I never used it. I should get it out and give it a try. It's supposed to be great for steaming vegetables too.
