alsgirl4 i'm right with you. been watching and weightwatchering and going to gym a lot (mixing it up somewhat) and gaining. just now saw a 1 lb loss sigh emoticon

I struggle with the scale! I can't get past this plateau! I have watched my portion size you name it and I just gained 4 pounds. All the weight and then some I lost in the past month! I am frustrated!

I agree with cubbibug. it is just sooooo hard to keep going when i gain and lose the same 3 pounds and there fore see no difference. i also seem to be tired all the time and i dont know why - my blood work is fine. but i try to push myself. but i so rarely make those 10k steps. i wish i could push harder but asthma kicks in if i do. so i'm trying to change it up. went to annapolis last week and walked for a long time - did the 10k steps but took a while. did baltimore yesterday. only did 7900 steps. will go to gym today i guess. but seeing no change, that's the hardest.

Time management! I can easily do 2+ hours of exercise in a day, but working that around work and housework and yardwork and time with my hubby means that invariably one of those balls gets dropped. I always feel like I should be doing something else, no matter what it is that I am doing.

Hi I am new to this group but not to Spark People.

My biggest struggle is fatigue and pain from osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia, diabetes, etc. My doctor has prescribed a medication called Xenical. I have to watch my fat content as it blocks 30% of your body fat and exits through the bowel. I have been on this a week. Thought this was the better recourse since I didn't want to have bariatric surgery.
I have been doing quite well so far. It is such a slow process I wish I could go out and walk but the last few days the weather being rainy, humid has put me so fatigued.

What causes me to Struggle is when I see NO physical difference for the efforts & changes I make. It's frustrating.

I'm the primary caregiver to my husband and MIL making it impossible for me to get away from home to a gym. And as for walking in my neighborhood there are a couple of dogs I'm scared of and I've already seen a rattlesnake so the woods are out.
So I'm mostly stuck inside when not doing yard work. (away from the woods)

At present my right knee and left hip, which cause my back to scream. PAIN is annoying and tiring. I am very motivated to get the weight off to relieve the pressure on these joints.
I am eating the most healthy of my life and losing weight. Looking forward to walking and working out again. Especially water aerobics!

Emotional stuff keep rearing it's ugly head. That and injury or an arthritic flare-up. When I get this I have to go carefully back into exercise and I find that frustrating.

Taking two steps forward and one step back is still progress!SP

For me it would probably be lack of motivation. If I were more motivated to lose weight I would eat better. Of course with my knee break last year it makes walking more of a struggle so exercising is more difficult.

I will NOT GIVE UP though!!
