Getting worse, this past few months. Simple exercise like standing hip abductions - I now feel the ball joint moving. So I'm doing it seated - there's much less movement involved, and some support from the chair.
Ideally I should get back to swimming, but can't afford the membership for the closest pool, or the travel plus entry for the next closest
EDIT I should have added that I too have pins and needles or a burning sensation down the outside of my right thigh, after I have been on my feet for a while. So part way through preparing and cooking the dinner, or part way through shopping especially if we're walking really slowly.

My hips are pretty good. The only time I've had problems with arthritis pain in my right hip is when I drive a long distance with my foot on the pedal of the car (no cruise control on my vehicle) or during the time that I spent three months using a walker and hoping on my right leg!
