I have cooked rice in several different types of strong tea like Earl Grey tea, English breakfast tea, green tea or whatever suits my taste at the moment.
I just finished a breakfast of brown rice cooked in a strong infusion of Earl Grey tea and cooked organic apples with nutmeg and a cinnamon stick. This is one of my favorite breakfasts.
Hope this has answered your question.

Staying away from both for now but love both especially black and red rice. Try cooking rice in brewed tea of your choice. Yum.

I like both but am in Mexico and rice is more the possibility. Hubby loves rice so we have it often.

It depends on what the rest of the meal is. With Chinese cuisine, definitely rice. With a meat or meat substitute, often potato.

probably potatoes... my husband was just asking why I haven't fixed rice in a long time. Mostly because he's "dieting" and tries to keep it lower carb particularly at dinner time. Its tough to break out the rice cooker for just a smideon of rice. The chickens do like the left overs tho!!!

Potatoes use to be my favorite, now it's rice or yams. Special treat is mashed potatoes -yum! With my diet restrictions (potassium) because of my kidneys, I can no longer say potatoes unless I am able to leach the potatoes before I cook them.
The past is our definition. We may strive, with good reason, to escape it, or to escape what is bad in it, but we will escape it only by adding something better to it.
