I had spent quite a bit of time trying, but not succeeding at losing weight with the recommended 1200-1550 range and exercising about 5 days a week, average over an hour at a time. I upped it, but didn't lose ... ended up back at the recommended, exercising about 1/3 of what I was doing, and am now losing weight. I felt MUCH better when I was eating a little more - more energy, less muscle fatigue and confusion (I have fibromyalgia) ... so even though I am losing weight at this point, I have added on about 200 calories in hopes that I can return to a stronger workout routine and continue losing weight, and feel better. I want to lose weight, but know that feeling draggy is not an indication that I am taking better care of myself.
I have an appointment with my doctor this Friday to see if she can help me zero in on what's happening.
Thanks for your posts everyone - it has reassured me that perhaps a little more - with more exercise - is ok to try!
The greatest of warriors are these: time and patience.
Someone busier than you is exercising right now.
If you don't change anything, nothing will change.
