"If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Congratulations on making to Texas! And for setting the goal to make it onederland.
I "swim around the world"... I have swam the chesapeake bay, the english channel and am going to pick my next distance very soon. But I swim, like you bike. With a destination in mind.
SO good luck on your journey to onederland, may the weather cooperate as you continue through the state of Texas and onward across and upward and around.
be authentically you...
it's journey, not a one day hike.

I haven't posted in quite a while...but wanted to come on and wish everyone a Happy New Year :)
I started my 'journey' and virtual bike ride back on July 19th, 2012, leaving Kelso, CA....and I've accomplished many 'mini' goals between then and now..my biggest one to date was biking my 1000th mile on Dec. 21st. I just entered the U.S State of Texas :)
oh...and I also lost a total of 10lbs during that time.
After taking this past week off for Christmas I'm back on track and biked my first 10 miles of the year this morning..putting me at a grand total of 1010 miles...
My goals for this year is to bike an additional 1696 miles by Dec. 31st 2013 and lose 66lbs...which would put me in Onederland.
Your welcome to follow my progress throughout the year via my website & blog
