I like to bake simple things. Breakfast cakes, brownies. I am not a cake or pie baker.

I'd much rather bake than cook, especially when it's snowing outside! Makes the house feel warm and cozy, I guess!

be authentically you... it's journey, not a one day hike.
I can bake cookies. That's about it. I'm a cooker though

I usually LOVE to bake especially during the fall/winter time when its cold outside & I have time. Unfortunately this year with our crazy weather patterns along the NC coastline its just been too warm outside on the days I am actually scheduled off and would have the opportunity to do some baking. I like to give some away where me & my husband bring stuff to work for co-workers to share, my son's bus driver, mailperson, UPS & FedEx delivery guys, and then I store a bunch in our freezer to enjoy the rest of the year in moderation.
This year- just hasn't really happened for me. I only have chocolate whoopie pies in the freezer but not a whole lot of cookies, breads, and muffins.

I do love to bake, and eat what I bake. Sigh!

I love to bake. I have a gluten intolerance so that helps me not eat what I am baking.

yes, but not at home. I work as a cook for an assisted living facility.

Used to bake lots from cookies, cakes, pies, breads, etc. That is one of the many reasons I gained up to the morbidly obese category. I no longer bake anything. It is a critical way to slip back into old and destructive habits. It just isn't worth taking a chance.

I bake...I eat...so I don't bake much...LOL
One thing I would love to try baking is bread. Not quick breads, but the real deal yeast breads.

Weight loss is accomplished with the mind.
A person who wants something WILL find a way....a person who doesn't will find an excuse.
Which do you prefer? The pain of self discipline?....or...the pain of self regret?
I love to bake! I used to make wedding cakes, birthday cakes, pastry swans, etc. Now, I have trained two other people how to decorate and baked and gave away all my pans and supplies. Because....I eat way to much icing!
Now I satisfy my baking jones by challenging myself to bake delicious sugar free desserts. Seriously, I only have one cup of flour in my pantry, as I'm letting my less healthy items dwindle away. I have made sugar free pumpkin pie, cheese cakes and cupcakes. For icing, I use a dollop of sugar free cool whip or eat them naked.
My favorite cupcake recipe is one I got from Hungry Girl. Use a sugar free cake mix or low sugar and add 12 oz. diet soda. The possibilities are many. Lemon, chocolate, you name it.

I LOVE to cook, be it baking or any other method. If only I could keep up with the dishes! I try to be conservative about my oven use, such as: cooking more than 1 thing at a time, only using the oven at night during the Summer, leaving the door open to heat my apartment after I've turned it off. I think I use my oven about once a week.

Yes, I like to bake but I don't do much of it. I do fix cakes when I have visitors. I know how to fix pies but the crust is not that good. There are several meat dishes that I put into the oven. I can easily go a week or ten days without ever turning on my oven.
