A Christmas tree and creche scene inside, wreath on our door, and nativity painting with holiday blessing on our porch railing. I need to get after it tomorrow. I was admiring my sister-in-law's menora collection over the weekend. One day I may make one for our window. We have the story behind Haanukka in our Bible, too. Another miracle would be welcome in Israel about now, God Bless them. emoticon

emoticon always, only missed 2007 when my dad was so very ill. He passed away on Christmas Eve. The following year was very difficult but I know he would want us to celebrate Christ's birth so we do. This year will be extra special... our DD is expecting their 1st baby so I want to get the tree up and all the decorating done early just in case emoticon

Just bought the tree. emoticon My daughter asked if we could put it in her 'office', which is half of a double garage that the previous owners made into a 'man cave'.

All I have to do is look out the back windows to see it, and I can go sit out there anytime I want to enjoy the fragrance.

It's a lot easier than rearranging the house! emoticon

Yes ! I always do, this year I'll be in the USA. My grands and I will have lots of fun making our own decorations for the tree ,the outside door wreath, gift boxes and tags, place cards and whatever we have time for.

We decorate for Christmas. Already have the wreaths up and candles in the windows. Plan on putting up the tree this weekend.

I haven't had a tree for the last several years, and last year when my dh passed away, I wasn't even thinking about decorating. This year I have been thinking of getting a small tree, even though I live alone.

I love Christmas, because of the meaning behind the season. I love the smell of a fresh tree. I was in Virginia the last 2 Christmases (my mom's last 2) so there were no decorations at home. Haven't even thought about decorations this year, so I'm not sure what we'll do???

While I was in Virginia last year (for 6 months) my husband put a bookcase where I usually put the tree!!!!!!????///, so I don't even know where I'd put it.

Guess I'll talk to my daughter and see what she wants to do.

But, I'll put a Nativity scene somewhere, if nothing else!

Even though my kids are grown, and I have not grandkids, I still like to decorate inside and outside. the kids enjoy seeing everything decorated. I have alot of homemade and painted decorations so in order to use them all, they have to be on a big tree. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

We have grandchildren who come here every Christmas, so I still go a little crazy decorating. We did the outside lights on THanksgiving (our last decent day we were supposed to have--- it was in the 60's!) and I have a tree in our living room and one on the front porch (so far). I also put lights on our back deck railing and a small tree out there! Four hundred more trips up and down to the basement where all the decorations are stored ought to do it! Nice cardio workout, huh?!

The tree goes up Dec. 2nd along with electric candles in the windows, but that's about all we do. It was different when there was a child in the house. Now I just do the minimum.

Only celebrate Xmas with friends so I let them do all the decorating. Some of their efforts seem excessive to me.

decorating all depends on how the holidays are shaping up. I live alone and like a tree with special lights on it and I have German Crystal Glass decorations that make the who tree shimmer, But it is very tedious to pull those out and pray I don't break on or the cats don't decide to use them a batting toy. SO.... by the middle of December if I am moving along with the holiday season, I will make the time to put up the tree....

be authentically you...

I have an already decorated Christmas tree in my attic in Africa. When I get back there I will bring my tree downstairs and plug it in! I also put other decorations around, and a wreath on my door but I do not put lights outside.
