In GOD We Trust Choose To Lose "If you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired." -General George S Patton, U.S.Army, 1912 Olympian

Wow!!! I just took the "time" to go back and read up on POSTUM !! It said Kellogg stopped making it in 2007! But it shows places where you can, get it, but it's very expensive!! So probably real "lovers" of this drink, are the only ones that buy it!! This has brought back memories for me from 1974 and on!! I haven't had it or thought about it in many years, till this ? Came up!
I've always been a hardcore tea drinker (and always will be) but In my thirties I started drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and really enjoy it. I just don't drink much more than that. One option you might give a go is a tea called Macha (sp?). It gives you a little lift like caffeine but I'm told totally different from caffeine. More gentle. I have had it once or twice and I remember it tasting a bit like green tea. I hope that helps... J

I can't drink coffee anymore, though I was addicted to it in college. I now drink a Japanese tea called Genmaicha (hard g) that has roasted rice in it and gives me the "sense " of coffee. I get it from Argo Tea, but it can probably be found online.

I don't like green tea-i've tried all kinds and I just can't drink it-maybe if I put sweetener in it? I like herbal tea, but, it's not the same. And,I've never heard of Postum. Would they sell it in grocery stores or health food stores?

I gave up coffee when I was pregnant with my son and started drinking Green Tea. After my son was born, I went back to coffee. I've been thinking of going back to Green Tea. It's supposed to be better for you.
I've never been a coffee drinker, but I like tea. If you like tea, it comes in many varieties, including herbal (which isn't really tea, but I won't get into that). You could choose a little caffeine or a lot or none at all!
Tea gives me a "nice cup of something in the car."

I have given up coffee but I miss that nice cup of something in the car in the morning. I would like to know if any of you know of a good coffee substitute that does not leave me jitery and tired after.
