I have to clear something up by saying 'virtual' exercise' has been around for quite sometime...it wasn't my creation.
I know 'virtual' walking and /or running has been around for a few years now...
is where I first stumbled across the initial idea..
Not being able to walk too steady these days, I simply used the same concept as the 'virtual' walkers were doing and kinda tweaked it from there...using a bike & the Google Maps website to help me map out my route. maps.google.com/
I go by actual miles that I'm riding on my bike, (it's just easier for me to do that)
but you can tweak it any way you want..it's your adventure.
20 mins of exercise = 5 miles
10 mins = 1 mile
1000 steps = 1 mile
You can really tweak it any way you want to...
lastly...you gotta make it fun. Ya gotta think outside of the box, lol....be creative.
I could just bike to NM, fart around in Albuquerque for a day or so and then keep going ...
OR I could bike to Roswell, NM to find the 'mother ship' and have 'virtual' slurpees with my rambling friends..ROFL!
I would much prefer to do that, haha...
Either way you do it, it's a lot of fun..and it really does take the 'boring' out of exercise.
