I was depressed about regaining weight lost and searching for yet again another "diet book" to inspire me to try again, and read The Spark. Took me three months before I went to the site and joined.

You’ll get where you want to go as long as you are taking more steps in the right direction than the wrong one.

Like Dee, I found my way here through MyPoints. It's funny because they kept sending me this offer and I kept looking at the site and thinking that it will never work. Finally after months of turning down the offer, I decided I had to try something to make myself healthier so I looked up SP on my own and joined. I never even got the "points" offered. emoticon

I'm so glad that I joined, I love it here. emoticon

I belong to a shopping site called Mypoints and they referred their customers to it ... I got points from them for joining but that has turned out to be the least of the benefits I got from joining, and I am so grateful I did!

My DD told me about it... I checked it out that day and joinedemoticonComing up on my 2 year anniversary this month = 70 pounds down and feeling 100% betteremoticon

Beginning to feel desperate on the way to gaining most of the weight I had previously lost BACK, started looking for "diet books" to inspire me and found The Spark. Took me three months before I read most of the beginning of it and joined SP.

In the fall of 2006 I started thinking seriously about losing weight so I googled "free online diets"...or something to that effect...and up popped Sparkpeople. I joined, but the site was so overwhelming at first that I didn't really do much with it for the first couple of years.

I asked the group online that I belonged to (forums on line) how I could set up finding out the calories I consumed and tracking them and one lady said she'd used the Spark site. I tried it and never looked back. This is where I am meant to be.

A woman I hadn't seen in a year and a half was almost 100 pounds less and I hardly recognized her! She said one sentence "I can dance again!" and I asked her how she did it and she said Spark People, on line. That was it. I too, wanted to dance again.

I looked it up the next day and started 2 days later. That was 2009 and now I am eating healthier and down about 50 pounds. More to go but working this out...

I read a magazine article (about 4 1/2 years ago) which said I could find out my BMI online - for free.I don't remember the name of the magazine...probably geared for women.
I decided I would look it up online and it was SparkPeople. I looked at the site a couple of times and decided.....it couldn't hurt.
