We do eat a lot of chicken and turkey, but I do my own marinades, which are lower in salt. I buy bone in chicken parts with skin on and make broths with the bones and skin, defatting after a night in the frige. We do like sausages. I use chicken Italian sausage in my Italian dishes that call for Italian sausage, and buy turkey pastrami when the urge for pastrami gets strong. But we are cutting down on such, because of the sodium.
