All of these holiday treats sound wonderful! Maybe some of you would like to share your recipes with others. Perhaps we could start a new thread about the recipes.
I make many kinds of cookies including Italian, pistachio, spumoni, oatmeal, etc. I then give them to people I visit once a week along with neighbors and friends. I also make strawberry bread, banana and cranberry.
sugar cut out cookies - decorated with frosting. I will not make them til the last possible moment because they are very tempting to me!

I usually have a marathon bake-a- thon here and bake tons of cookies in double batches with a wide variety. Some get eaten here, others frozen, and a LOT get given away. I also like to bake specialty breads but in muffin form for portion control to give as gifts and for the home. During the holiday meal I bake either a pie or special cake.

We exchange homemade goodies with neighbors and this year I am attempting Moose Munch. I have made the popcorn so far. I do enjoy receiving homemade cookies. Give me strength!

When I was raising the children I would bake 144 gingerbread men with their help. This was my favorite thing. I also loved to eat them, with that whole pound of lard required in the dough. But now I just buy and if I was in Canada I would be drawn to the fruit cake (dark) with the marzipan icing. Both Charlie and I adore those.

When I decide to do this, I make a variety of different cookies to give away as gift plates. I eat way too many though, so I am not doing it this year.

I love to bake! I make sugar and spice cookies, peanut butter kisses, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, 7 layer bar cookies, rocky road fudge, and more. I'm learning how to make candy now such as almond butter toffee and pecan divinity. I also enjoy making quick breads. My favorites are banana chocolate chip bread and pumpkin cranberry nut bread.
