my whole life is tied up in bread .. I used to eat bread with every meal . loved it hot and buttered . homemade or store bought . .. eat until i realized that i was not helping myself . now i try to feed the family with wheat bread and low calorie one . .. it is hard .

I use Sara Lee's whole grain wheat bread, the lower calorie one. I try to watch for the true whole grain breads, but they are getting to be more difficult to find, and are more expensive. This article does not sound familiar. I look forward to reading it. I also like Orowheat, but it is not always a true whole grain either.
I have known people who have lived in Africa. It will be good getting to know another and hear of your personal journey in that lifestyle.

When I am even eating bread, I eat Oroweat whole wheat sandwich thins... especially for sandwiches, but my favorite bread is sourdough French.

We've been eating Martins 100% whole Wheat Bread for years. It has 4 grams of fiber per slice. Even the kids love it.

I am not eating a lot of bread at present....having said that am enjoying toast for breakfast....
Am enjoying low GI at present as it has got grains in it and is quite heavy.....

I enjoyed the article. I only eat thomas bagel thins now for bread. Sometimes a light multigrain english muffin as a roll for my turkey burger. The issue is the rest of my family - right now they eat whole wheat potato bread, but I would love to get them into one of sp's favorites.

I'd prefer to make my own, but usually end up buy it. Aunt Millie's light whole grain bread.

I buy Sara Lee 45 Calories & Delightful Multi Grain bread. I like it because it stays fresh longer than most breads. Bread is my short coming, so I try to stay away from places that bring bread out before your meal. Olive Garden's breadsticks are my weakness.
I love all kind of bread! I usually eat one made with whole wheat,flax seeds and sunflower seeds.
Love bread......had to cut back as I was eating too much. Love the pumpernickel. Used to make my own then got a bread maker and broke that so now I just get one loaf a week for the two of us and make that do.
I use my old breadmaker a lot and use ingredients I know are what I should be eating...egg whites, olive oil, oatmeal, whole wheat, bananas, walnuts, etc. Saves money too as good bread is really getting expensive...just like everything else these days. Good thing DH prefers the bread I make to what we get in the store.

LOVE bread. Used to enjoy making it often, very theraputic. But my hands are arthritic enough now that kneading is difficult. I have found a whole wheat white flour that makes great whole grain bread but no one knows, since it is white! I use it in place of all purpose flour at home. Since dropping processed white flours, we use more tortillas, flat bread, pitas, etc. than sliced loaf breads and buns, but when I do buy these, I buy as near to whole grain versions as I can manage. I like the 7 grain bread previously mentioned, and also Safeway's Oat nut bread. We like Sourdough bread as well, which for some reason has a low glycemic index even tho it is made with regular white flour. I have a starter for it & make my own, even pizza dough. Rosemary & olive oil sounds delicious - may try that tonite!

I love bread. There is a good organic bakery that serves Wisconsin and parts of Illinois. Really trust their product. But have noticed that most bread is to big for the sandwich bags.
When I frist started changing my lifestyle bread was best categorized as a 'problem food'. Love GOOD fresh-baked bread. I still enjoy it. But while in the beginning of this journey I opted for the lower calories and fat, I now get whole grain good quality breads because the other nutrients just slide into place in my plan.
My favorite? Ahhh fresh-from-the-bakery round loaf of olive-oil rosemary (whole-grain) bread! No butter. No filling for a sandwhich... Just wonderful bread. :) May buy some of this treat once every 6 months at most.
Of packaged breads, I like the 7-grain bread Pepperidge Farm makes, so when I want sandwhiches that's my choice.

I love bread and buy whole wheat from the organic section at the market. I also found a bread that is very low in calories and carbs it is made from potato flour that was very good. Bread is a treat for me I try not to eat bread to often.

What kind of bread do you eat? I can only buy white French Baguettes here in the jungle, or a white loaf that an African doctor's wife makes. When I do make bread, especially when I make hamburger or hot dog buns, I put some whole wheat in it. When I am in the States I buy whole wheat bread or 7-grain bead (my favorite).
What kind of bread do you buy? Are you baffled by Bread?
