Monty Python, Fawlty Towers. Are You Being Served?, Allo, Allo, Keeping Up Appearances, and One Foot in the Grave.

Love them all! Not too keen on Mr. Bean, though. lol

there is a group of us in my church choir that sit around and quote Monty Python and the Holy Grail. One time as we were rehearsing walking in the the sanctuary we hit ourselves in the head with our choir folders while chanting

Would you believe that most Brits don't get American comedies? I was raised in the UK and love all those shows. My son Martin was born the same month as eastenders Martin Fowler, when the show began in 1985.

I love the British comedies. Although I do have to admit I might watch them once or twice to get the jokes. It is very different humor.

While at Comic Con last year, I was waiting in the Dr. Who line. Also next to me were some people from England. They were amazed that Americans loved Dr. Who.

Every Saturday night here on PBS they have the English comedies. They do some from the 70's, 80's & 90's and then at at 11:00pm they do the "Eastenders" and I am hooked on that only thing it's about 4 or 5 years behind the orginial that is still showing in England.

Absolutely Fabulous! And anything from French and Saunders, really: Vicar of Dibley, Jam and Jerusalem, etc. Keeping Up Appearances is hilarious, too.

I remember watching Benny Hill as a kid, my grandmother would stay up late & it would be on. But I just don't really get British comedy.
