I find blogging very helpful. Even if the blog of the day is just mind vomit, it helps me to synthesize what I'm thinking about and figure out what to do if something is bothering me.

Light bulb time for me… from now on I exercise first and then read/write blogs, track nutrition/fitness, earn Spark points, post at the forums etc. etc.
Exercise 1st... Spark 2nd. Works for me!

I have done a blogging streak on SP, blogging at least twice a week for the past 66 weeks. I also keep a personal blog up but that does not get postings but maybe twice a month. I keep up our hospital website as well but that one needs me to work on it more.

I refuse to feel any guilt about not blogging. When I feel the spirit move me I do blog but not too often. Others do blog almost every day and do such a superb job that I feel my time is better spent paying attention to their blogs. There are three that I particularly love and they are Robert(a miner who runs and has lost lots of weight and is a great vegetarian chef), Ashley(a tall gorgeous blonde who says so much about life's trials) and Fit Whit(she is such a creative cook and baker who also has a lot of good things to say about the vagaries of life.There are a few who give good tidbits once in a while and I sure enjoy their blogging. I just blather on about frustrations of life with too few hrs. and how much I love our dog and my husband. More interesting to me than anyone else.

I have a public blog on another web site that I used to write for daily but now I don't do it even once a month. I don't blog here on Spark. As others have said, who has the time? I blog everyday on SP. For me it's easier than keeping a journal and taking it everywhere with me. I'm in front of a computer all day so when something enters my brain I log on and type it out. Blogging is really keeping me on track right now. I actually look forward to posting my success and my questions.

I more of a reader than a writer...so my blogs usually involve some photos and very few words.
The funny thing is, when I'm at work I sometimes think of things I would like to blog about when I get home on the computer..but when I get logged on to Sparkpeople the feeling has passed.
I love to read other's blogs..and throw in a comment or two.
Weight loss is accomplished with the mind.
A person who wants something WILL find a way....a person who doesn't will find an excuse.
Which do you prefer? The pain of self discipline?....or...the pain of self regret?
