My 30 minutes turned into 40. Only because when I went the route I did I had to add on some streets or end up walking 20 minutes. A little tight in the knee and calf, but overall good. I've upped it one more day, so 4 days of 30 minutes. We'll see how 3 days goes, and if I feel up to it then i'll do 4

Very glad you're back and feeling better. Winter is such a miserable season and it is meant for hibernating, not being sick for a month. Our immune system really takes a beating. I think 30 minutes of exercise is plenty for now. You can slowly work on your endurance depending on how you're feeling every day. Too many people relapse because they jump right back to their "well" routine without building up to it. Stay well...

Runandrun: Yeah, lingering bronchitis. It's been a long time since I had it, but it did what it always does. lingers forever.

Gina: Sorry to hear about your accident. One of my friends was rear ended by someone who was rear ended by someone texting on a cell phone. She now has spinal stenosis along with her fibromyalgia. Glad to hear that you're still alive and kicking. As long as we don't lose focus we'll get to the top when we're meant to.

So glad you are better! It is not always possible to do what we build up to when we are sick but you will be able to work toward that again. I have done it many times and it does get discouraging. Hang in there. Last yr. at this time I was hit by a car(lady on a cell phone took a rt. turn when I was crossing a crosswalk with the dog, bashed my hip and my rt. leg ended up under her tire. No broken bones but a lot of tissue damage and lost toenails) and I was doing so well. It took me about 4 mos. to get my mojo back. Just believe and it will return not right away but soon.

Jan: He said he wanted to make sure that I got my exercise in. I told him what good would it do if I'm limping back home because I walked 4 miles and then I'd be so sore that I would have to wait a week or two to start over. I think he got the point. Lol.

After over a month of being sick I'm finally 100% back. I even did 30 minutes of exercise today. I'm not doing like i did before and doing an hour or two to start with and then burning out. Or do so much that I hurt and have to wait till the following week to start over. Had a hard time explaining that to my friend, but I think he finally understood. He wanted me to walk 3 miles in order to get in my 30 minutes. He meant well. I've tracked my food for the day and still have fudge room. I've set a day schedule for exercise. While I may not always do the exercises, strength or cardio, on the days I have down for them I am going to do them the number of days during the week that I have down.
