I can't remember the last time we ate out on Sunday. I've gotten used to preparing meals from scratch all the time.

Not anymore. We started going to church on sundays with the new year (coincidentally with the new life change and spark.) We WERE going, but the first sunday we went to IHOP and I consumed a 1300 calorie meal. I was completely destroyed with self loathing, but did I learn? No. The next sunday we went to zaxby's where I thought I was being good getting a salad. A delicious, horrible salad with fried chicken on it. And thousand island dressing. So, no more more eating out on sundays for us.

No - as a family we eat out about once every 2 months (on average). I like eating at home after church - it's great family time. Very relaxing.

My DH and I eat out almost every Sunday. We frequently eat with another couple or family from our church. We use this outing as an opportunity to get to know new people since we are still fairly new to the area (been here about 2.5 yrs) We have found Applebees to be a healthy choice for lunch; there are several meals with 550 calories or less.

It depends. Usually Saturday is our eat out day. Then it depends on what's in the area that we'll be in. Since me and one other person is gluten intolerant we have to find places that we've eaten at and not gotten sick. Or ones with a gf menu.

We have not been able to eat at a restaruant for a while now, partially because of finances but also because my boys are sooo picky.
However, in Sunday School we volunteer to bring in a snack/brunch for class on Sundays. So in a sense yew I do eat out.
We eat out once a month after church. Pick mom up at the AL community and take her to church and then come to our home for dinner. I try to make her favorites as she complains about the food at her community but I like to eat out once in a while.

Today I ate bad enough to have few clories left for the evning meal. (bah humbug)Leaving for home on Sat. and back into to usual routine.

We rarely eat out on a Sunday, sometimes breakfast after church. We do enjoy eating out at a variety of restaurants- Chinese, Italian, Indian, Steak houses are a few that come to mind.

As a kid we ate out because we were camping or traveling. These days we don't eat out so much because of the costs. Although we did eat out on Wednesday night at Wendy's because I couldn't eat after 8. But I will have to plan better this week. It costs us $18 and change for 4 people. I would rather do a date night with just me and the hubby for that price.

It depends. I put a roast or casserole in the oven before church if we are going to return home. Most of the time we go out, because it is one of the few days that we both have off.

When I was a child we always did. Now we eat out on Saturday night sometimes but never on Sunday. Occasional Chinese take-out. I hate to get dressed on Sunday because I put so much work into my appearance the rest of the week for work.I like to just lounge around.

Not today-homemade onion soup! But yes, we usually eat out or get take away from Subway, Sonic, or the Brookshire deli. We're still doing better than we used to when we ate out or had take-out 3-4 times a week.

My Sunday School class goes out every Sunday for lunch. However, my finances don't allow me to join them except occasionally. When I do go I really have no trouble finding something that is healthy and low fat for me to eeat.

I used to eat out every Sunday afternoon....now, it's very seldom...partly because of the cost, and partly because it's hard to control myself when I go to a restaurant (DH prefers the AYCE type of restaurant). It's nice to occasionally go out to a place where I get to order the meal, cooked the way I like it, and then leave the clean-up behind.

Usually we're just at home, but once in a while we'll go out and have a bite to eat at the seaside. The kids get to potter around in the sand, and we get to get a little sunshine together. It's not really about the food; it's about the place.

My husband and I eat out when we take a ride to check on our summer home on Saturdays. Since I have completely stopped going to fast food restaurants we make a choice between a seafood restaurant, a Japanese sushi restaurant or TGI-Friday's etc... I order something that has a lot of vegetables and throughly enjoy the change from my home cooked meals the rest of the week.

No, if we eat out it's usually on Saturday while we're out shopping or running around. Since I've been on SP we have cut back on eating out. We used to eat out 3-4 times a week, now it's only once a week and some weeks we don't eat out at all.

when i was a kid at home we ate out after church almost EVERY Sunday. we even had our own table, the waitress knew us by name, and she knew to bring me the "thin down" which was cottage cheese, fruit, and a hamburger patty. yeah. i was dieting even then (although now that would be a HUGE lunch for me!!) We cant afford to eat out now. we might go out to dinner once every 2-3 months now, and only when we go to the small city an hour away for staple supplies.

no. We rarely eat out any more and if we do it is for dinner. Not that many good restaurants in our area.
Do you count packing a lunch to eat 'out' at work? I'm having left over turkey/vegetable meat loaf today. I work alternate Sundays, and we go camping on the weekends that I'm off. On our travel weekends, we usually pick up lunch on the way home, at a fast food place. Can't go inside a nice restaurant because we have the dogs with us. I'm finding it tough to select something light and/or healthy on the burger joint's menu. Their salads leave a lot to be desired.

The closest we get to eating out is actually ordering in these days! And that is usually on Wednesday evenings, as Thursday is garbage day and DH doesn't like to have a sink full of dishes to worry about, so ordering in takes care of the problem most weeks. Lately I've been working almost every Sunday, so we set up the crock pot when I come home for lunch so it's ready for dinner. Tonight will be Kielbasa, Potatoes, Mushrooms and Sauerkraut in the crock.

No. We just never did because of the Crockpot. DH does not like to eat out--never did, as I question his sanity. I would love to eat out but he claims my homecooked meals are terrific.

When I am in the States I eat my Sunday noon meal at a restaurant. Some Sundays I eat at a Fast Food place. Other Sundays I eat at a sit down restaurant. Here in Africa I eat by myself at home. This morning I put a whole chicken, some potatoes and onions in the crock pot so that was done when I got home from church.
Do you eat OUT at a restaurant for your Sunday noon meal or do you eat your meal at home? If you eat OUT, what type of restaurant food do you typically eat?
