With a major winter storm on our door step, I think I am going to be doing the Christmas decorating, work around the house, snow removal and whatever else we can do without going out on the roads!! Sun. the wind is to be whipping up a blizzard for us so may be in for the weekend and temps are a high of zero. (Weather not made for whimps, so I like the indoors!!) Whoops, frozen tears!!
Slow & steady makes a winner of us. Even if we hit pitfalls, get up. Know that a new day is right around the corner. Try to be all that you can be. Work at it a day at a time.

Took my daughter to have 3 wisdom teeth pulled and will be on call all weekend if her hubby needs help... finish decorating our tree and house for Christmas and challenge my DH to several wii resort games. May end up having to shop for a new clothes dryer... WHY do appliances always seem to break down right after all the Christmas shopping is done heh Enjoy the crock pot full of homemade chicken soup

Although tomorrow is cold, DH has outdoor plans so I will prepare a diet frienfly chili for us. Stay within calorie range and do my chair exercises.

Go to the gym at least 1 morning, possibly both Saturday and Sunday for 45 minute to 1 hour workout. Plan to enjoy playing with my granddaughter on Saturday. Have been invited to an open house on Sunday so will make healthy food choices.

today is being spent running around, packing for our 2 long days road trip from GA to AZ starting tomorrow morning early. While traveling, I plan to eat light and probably salads mostly instead of burgers or snacks.

GYM on Sat. or Sun. Party on Sat. night but I'll snack on something healthy before I go and have only one drink early in the evening since I'm the driver. A Christmas concert (children's) on Sun. evening. My neighbor's girls are in it. They're my honorary grand-dtrs.

Saturday morning I'm going to get my hair done--walking the 1 3/4 mile to the salon. If the weather isn't too cold & my hair too damp afterward, I'll walk back home too!

This weekend? Friday I will do some calorie burning vacuuming to get ready for decorating the tree. I did some baking this week, so I am on a break from tempting smells and sights. More packages to wrap. Relaxing and reading and catching up on the way too many shows I have on my PVR. All my usual dog walking. Three shih-tzus 5 times a day. Just in a bunch of snow, right now.

Swimming tomorrow morning; in the evening I'm invited to a potluck so I have to find a healthy recipe. Martial arts class on Sunday, and in the afternoon the (grown-up) kids and I will be making German Christmas cookies and then trim the tree. Lots of pitfalls there to challenge me!

... Saturday: taking granddaughter to see The Nutcracker for the 14th year in a row (and probably the last one, since she is going to be in college next year) ...
