saute celery, red and green peppers, garlic, cilantro and parsley in a little olive oil. Cut up tempeh and add a bit of soy sauce. Serve on top of quinoa. Very tasty!

I believe in myself, I am a strong woman. I will reach my goals, NOTHING & NOBODY will hold me down. I will live my life with integrity and intention. I will set a good example for my daughters and my son. I will be a woman that makes my grand children proud when they look at pictures of me long after I've left this earth.

I make a feaux chicken salad with Tempeh.
First you have to simmer it for about 15 minutes.
Then cut it into chunks about 1 square inch mix with any other ingredients you would usually put in chicken salad. I like onions, celery sundried tomatoes, pickle relish & nayonnaise.
I cut a whole wheat pita in half & warm it in the microwave for about 20 seconds then stuff it with the mixture. sometimes I put sprouts in the pita too.
There is also a website I found with lots of ideas, www.tempehgirl.com.

Good Luck!!!
Jeannie

Ok. I've semi-mastered making my own seitan. I can press tofu, and I can cook it a bunch of different ways. This leave tempeh. I'm stuck.

I can make an ok breakfast hash with it, but everything else I've tried just doesn't do it for me. I marinated it and baked it, tried making 'bacon"... and everything is just "eh...."

What do you like to do with it? Any good recipes would be MUCH appreciated!
