My boyfriend is a carnivore mostly, except for the occasional vegetable and dairy and sweets.

It can be difficult at times, especially since I eat completely clean and eat nothing that he does.

Having the sugary foods around is a challenge, but so far I am managing well. I have few cravings and am able to use fruit and healthy substitutes when I really feel I need something.

I don't miss the meat at all.

I feel so ill when i eat the wrong foods that I desire them less often.

We do eat and cook separately for the most part as I am on a day schedule and he works nights.

my boyfriend is very supportive of my veganism. He offered to go vegan with me.. well, really "for" me.. which is why I told him not to. When/If he does go vegan he has to feel it in his heart, otherwise he wont be all in. You know? I just love that he supports me enough to do it for me if I wanted it.
when we were first dating he would find places that had a "vegan" specific menu with the regular menu- which I thought was super sweet. He would show up at my house with a pack of oreos like every 2 weeks. haha.

As long as you are around people who support your descions, I think its easy.

I'm the type who would cook at tell everyone to either eat it or starve! emoticon

Lucky for me everyone always eats everything I make.

It's getting easier and easier to find great recipes that substitute exactly for dairy and meat ingredients. For example, I made my grandma a bunt cake for her birthday yesterday, sans any dairy. I used a recipe calling for a creative combination of ingredients that made the egg issue a non-issue; no one could tell it was vegan. I got tons of compliments on it!

Sometimes what people don't know won't hurt them. They don't have to know that the cake contains no dairy, etc.

I find this to be a problem.

Not so much with my husband who does his own cooking but my 13 year old daughter does not.

She does some of her won cooking but sometimes asks me to cook something for her. I am trying to get her to do more of her own cooking but at this age I still have to help her.

Hi that is a problem for me, my wife's tastes are much more limited and there are things she can't eat, so we eat out a lot. As far as cooking goes I can't. I do green smoothies for me and want to go high raw but am sliding back, way back. and am not sure how to get back on track

Isn't it hard to live, cook for, and dine with omnivores?

I'm lucky that my omnivore, my husband, is very content eating the vegan delights I whip up. I know that many of you probably have a lot on your hands with trying to get your families to eat vegan, or even vegetarian.

How do you do it? I do it by making sure my food is yummier than meat and dairy food. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, even if I don't have the time, to make sure my food is drop-dead yummy (did I say my food is yunmy?) emoticon
