On your Start page, on the right hand side, you'll see a heading titled My Community. Under that you should see Community Links, and under that My Recent Posts. Click on that and you should be able to find it.

If you have your email enabled, you should get one when someone replies.

You can also click on Message Board Subscriptions and you may find it there.

Ok...I'm really hoping somebody can help me out here. I posted at about 8:30 or a bit later last night. It was my first (introductory) post here and I don't remember which topic I posted under and, consequently, don't know how to get back to it to see any responses. Please, how can I find my post? It had the goals I was considering for the challenge. I do have them written in my journal but still...Sorry!

Hello, this is probably a silly question but is there a requirement to do the stress journal on the blog. I have established mine (week one) in a private team as I don't really want to blog about my major life stresses in public. I blog about weight, minor issues and have fun with my spark blog, but I don't share what is really stressing me out. I think this challenge is a great idea, think I tried it before but definitely will do my stress journal in private. :)

Resolved in 2014 to remain below 120!

CLEARNIGHTSKY - The weekly links are time released and based on the date you joined the challenge team. So for example, if you started the challenge this past Sunday on 8/18, the week 2 link will be available for you to click on next Sunday, 8/25. Week 3 will be available the following Sunday and week 4 the Sunday after that.

Hello!

Looking forward to working on Week 2, but the place where you can click on (and check off) Weeks 2, 3, & 4 are grayed out on my Official Stress Busting Challenge Team page. I've only received the Week 1 email (and I've checked off Week 1). Instead of worrying about why I haven't received my Week 2 email, I was just going to use the Team page to get the Weeks 2-4 assignments.

Any idea if I'm doing something wrong to make my hyperlinks gray out?

Thanks for any help.

I see my question and answer below and would like to make a suggestion. Is there a place to submit suggestions? It concerns being able to SEE the results of the stress test (those questions you answered 3 or less to). It would be fairly easy to program the questions and answers and final score. Most of us don't really have the time to go back and "take it again" and we don't remember what we answered with so many questions. As it stands ... I'm not really sure WHAT to work on ... and that sort of defeats the purpose. Thanks!

Welcome to the team, Sue! If you just started, then you should be keeping a stress journal for the week, making note of what is causing the stress, how it makes you feel and how you responded to it. After doing that for the week, you can take that info and use it to help you set up some goals for what stresses you. It can be anything that helps you relax/destress - take a walk, deep breathing, take a bath, refuse to argue with your child/spouse/coworker - almost anything if it helps you.

Hi,
I started this challenge this week in hopes of de-stressing my life a bit,
I am finding that stress if affecting my health goals.
The question I have is about the goal setting.
I am a bit confused as to what kinds of goals one would set for stress busting.
I was hoping to learn what kinds of things to do to help lower my stress levels and so
do not know what to put down for this part of this week's action steps.

When I have trouble sleeping due to worries, I try reading until I am very drowsy or watching something on TV that I've seen before, so I don't get too invested. It's usually enough to distract me from my worries and let me fall asleep.

It is not losing the info that I input but the clock seems to go 24 hours (I try to post in AM at about the same time daily) and then tomorrow will show how this works...Am I failing to do it correctly?

I am trying to post my stressor log (online under weight measurements). I have been using for a long time weekly. Now I want to log daily. for this challenge and it took 2/23 info but will not accept today's.

Can you advise me if I am at the wrong site or if I need to change a setting....

I QUIT SMOKING 47 years ago when my youngest son was adopted... OCCASIONALLY I miss it still HOWEVER, 2 friends DID NOT QUIT smoking when I did and refused to come to my home when I banned all smoking in the house... WE JUST BURIED FRIEND #2 this week from lung cancer... a TERRIBLE last few years healthy wise... Oxygen around the clock... so bright, so much to live for... and couldn't make that ACTUALLY WOULD NOT STOP SMOKING... with an ATTITUDE...

emoticon SO for all you who have started to "STOP"... good for you and the BEST WAY IS COLD TURKEY.... I tried one cigarette since them and THANK GOD I became very ill... :)

Erin, you can take as much time as you need to complete the challenge. I know people who have taken several weeks to do one "week" of the challenge. It's fine - you do it at your own pace.

Erin - Yes, you can still participate in this challenge. On the main team page there is the Challenge Details box. Within that box will be your weekly action steps. If you click on the link for week 1, you should see those steps for the first week. When completed, you will check the box in the Challenge Details box. The links for weeks 2-4 are time released and will be available for you once a full week has gone by. So week 2 will be available for you 1 week from the time you started the challenge.

I weighed in again today dropped another pound. I love it. I feel really great. I took a trip to North Carolina to visit my son and daughter n law. Had fun and relaxed while I was there. Done some serious thinking on the drive down and back about how I let myself fall into this person I am today. I've decided along with losing weight and getting into shape I am also changing my outlook on life. I just quit smoking two days ago, struggling but doing ok. I look forward to reaching all my goals how ever long it takes.

I just quit smoking 30 days ago. I understand your stress. Believe me-it will get better!! Take deep breathes and flex your arms and hands. I wrote out index cards with all the reasons to quit and carried them around at the beginning. My favorite is: "Stop putting my mouth over an exhaust pipe and inhaling" That is what smoking is like-an exhaust pipe. Hang in there and write me if you want. I have been there and still experience some cravings but basically doing well. Oh-here is another thing to do. Put a used ashtray in a baggie; then every time you want to smoke-go smell it!! It will turn you off-believe me. Well, good luck on de-stressing and quitting. I am here if you need me.

I'm in the same boat as MELLIE1030 -- I did this challenge around New Years 2011, but a year and a half later, I've added quite a bit to my plate AND I'm on day two of quitting smoking, so I feel like I'm inundated right now and need to focus on de-stressing my life as much as possible until I can get through the withdrawal!

how do I do this challenge? what week I'm I in? Do I blog here for my stress journal?emoticon


I got want to do it and do this for me. My mind is in battle and my body is at war. I'm in battle with myself and if I can over come myself than I can over come it all and do it one day at a time, let it go and get one step closer to my goal.

Yes, it is a current challenge (you can do it at any time). The challenge is automated in giving the weekly info in the challenge details box, but both BE-THE-CHANGE (my co-leader) and myself are around to help answer questions.
