General Tsaos Chicken is one of my favorite comfort foods. My hubby and I were just talking about this and realized that I cant eat it now because it is very high in sodium......Soooooooooooo I did a makeover recipe, reducing the amount of soy and subbing for lite soy... Made a HUGE difference in sodium content, and still very tasty :)
I love General toa's chicken at the chineese places. But its fried and full of sugar and not so good for you. I looked up a recipe here at SP and found a good substitute! We all enjoyed it. My daughter is taking the left overs to school for her lunch.
Last night I made Healthified mini chocolate cheesecakes. Except I made it all in one pie not individual cups. It turned out very well we all like it as well. And its a nice easy weekend treat that I dont feel too quality eating. One small piece is enough to stratify that need for a goodie.
Another discovery this weekend. I looked on the package of tortillas to see the serving size. They are big chips and about 9 make a serving. I had dip. mm Looked to see what the serving size is the for dip 2tbs. I counted out 9 chips and spooned out 2 tbs for a snack. I was surprised that it was enough to fill a small snack need with out eating 1/2 the bag and a bunch of dip.
