Usually in the winter I'll spend 2 hours and make 4 different dishes that allows me to reuse kitchen bowls and utensils so clean up is also easier during the week. for example a pot could be for pasta after rising pot cook rice. or i'll use a crock pot or Forman grill and start base using pork or chicken with possibly garlic. with crock pot usually put few vegetables, like onions and carrots, that would be used for one of the dishes. once protien/meat annd carb/grains are done than thhe real creativity comes in depnding on what type of dishes you wat to finish with. refering to recipes to complete like tomato base and add extra vegtables or if you want oriental and different seasonings, vegtables and even fruits. because i'm single i freeze in 1 meal containers. usaully i'll still have different dishes from previous weeks so there can than be a wide variety of choices annd it also allows me to purchase food when it is more economical.
I recently found a great website that has meal plans (for a small fee) for 5 meals that you can get ready in one hour. So far I only got a free trial of just one week, but I think I'll go ahead and purchase some more. I found that I spent less at the grocery store.
