I rearranged my bedroom furniture -- and now the room feels better to me. It is a more peaceful atmosphere to relax in at night and I think it is helping.

I put the alarm to go to bed earlier. Then set the alarm for the time according to when I fall sleep not when I go to bed.
But I am striving to go to bed earlier every time. I is working for me emoticon emoticon emoticon

I started a month ago , but I didn't go nowhere.
Why? I am finding everything I do tiresome and very difficult. I am trying to continue and get somewhere with my fight for a better life. My health has been going down in the last 5 years. I am 73 and recently I am experiencing quite a bit of pain with this injury of a sciatic nerve. Of course that has nothing to do with my continued to eat things are not beneficial for me. I believe depression is the cause of wanting more sweets, is my weakne

Writing the journal has been really helpful to help me think about different stresses in my day, and also to help me monitor my eating and caffeine intake prior to bed.

I have started trying to be in my bedroom by 10:30, will read a book to wind down, and try to have lights off by 11. That gives me about 6.5 hours of sleep.

I rearranged my bedroom to lessen the distractions, exercise daily, stop eating at 8:00PM, and I pray the rosary (I'm Catholic and it helps me relax).

I make sure I turn off my laptop 30 minutes before bed, I workout properly & eat as well as I can. Make sure the lights are off, the fan is on and the shutters are closed so I have as little light as possible~

A mental note to myself: You WANT to sleep, because often I simply DON'T want to... like the collicky baby I once was, many years ago, I suppose. I WANT to sleep. I have to remind myself. Sometimes it actually works!

I have been exercising more consistently and it makes me tired and ready for bed so much earlier. The only problem I had last night is I couldn't fall back to sleep when I woke up. I was excited about going to walk/run with my boyfriend this morning. I felt like the kid in school that couldn't sleep the night before a field trip.

That is great CLWALDRO, I have been reading about the connection between stress and weight gain..Of course, our quality of sleep is affected as well.

The regular fitness activity and getting a massage a couple of times each month has helped my stress levels quite a bit.

Coolness, Ardissa! I set Pandora (on my iPhone) to Nature songs when I am sleeping away from home. It helps disguise the different night noises.

Exercise, relaxing nature music/sounds and using BreatheRight allergy strips are what's working for me. Thanks for asking.

It looks like more and more of us are getting a pretty good night of sleep. So...what one change do you think made the biggest difference in your quality of sleep?
