Glands in my throat are very swollen so had problem breathing. Glands were closing airway. I use a CPAP and that helped but did not sleep well.

Got 8 1/2 hours of sleep. I did not have to get up to go to bathroom even once. I still felt exhausted when I got up at 815AM. I am fighting sleep and it is only 9:54AM.

I took Melatonin 5 mg and read for about an hour. I went to bed at 11pm last night I woke up at 1205am and 355 am to go to bathroom and then got up at 830am. I felt a little better this morning.

I am having a problem getting myself into a proper sleep time. I tend to go to sleep really late and then when I do go to sleep I keep waking up every 2 to 3 hours. I would really like to sleep just 1 night all the way through for at least 6 hours straight. I need to start a ritual where I turn off the TV and computer every night at 10pm . I need to take my Melatonin and do some reading then go to sleep by 11pm.

I'm having some anxiety too, and I'nm not sleeping well. I'm staying up too late and not getting any consistency with my sleep. 8 hours one night, then 4 hours, then 8 hours, then 7. I didn't nap today, but I'm up too late again tonight! This is my last post and then it's off to read about 5 minutes and to sleep! DISCIPLINE!!!

Having some bad nights recently, coming from anxiety about the next day's events. Which were mainly early morning doctor's appointments.

I also have to decide, when I have to get up early, whether to get up earlier to have a relaxed morning or a bit later and rush around. Since I work out in the morning, earlier is really earlier.

Not sure what to do.

My first night without a sleep aid. I was relaxed the first hour, but then started getting a little stressed because I was still awake. It took me 3-4 hours to go to sleep & I woke up every 1 to 1-1/2 hours, but I did sleep without any medication. I've spent the day waiting for time to go to bed. lol. It's a start.

No, not yet. But then this is just my second day of the challenge.

I was taking a sleeping pill, but it really didn't help much. Last night I went to bed about 10:45. Couldn't go to sleep so I got up for awhile at 11:30, 1:20 & 3:25. According to my Fitbit, I finally went to sleep about 4:15 am & woke up 12 times before getting up. I got 6 hrs. & 23 min. sleep time but it took about 12 hours to do it.

The doctor just changed the sleeping pill I take because of discovered medical problems with the first one. I took the replacement for 2 nights, but have sent him an email to let him know that I'm not going to take it any more because of side effects. This just seems like a good time to stop taking them.

It was a tossing and turning night. I couldn't get my mind to shut off. I started cleaning the back porch and I kept thinking how to re arrange the space better amongst other tasks. Body was tired from all the lifting and bending. Finally fell asleep.

According to my free SleepBot app, I slept very fitfully last night. I got into bed at 11:21, fell asleep about 20 minutes later, then woke up at 12:15 AM, 1:45, 2:05, 2:15, 4:45, 5:20, 5:40, 6:05, 6:15, and finally 6:40.

Not sleeping well at all, I have not been for many years. I will go to bed between 10-11pm and get up between 7-8am.

1. I don't fall asleep very quickly
2. I toss and turn all night long
3. My limbs go numb
4. Wake up to go to the bathroom sometimes up to 5 times a night, and yes I have tried to not drink anything after 5pm and it does not make a difference
5. I don't get very restful sleep

Therefore I always wake up tired, I still manage to walk every morning for 4.33 miles but by the middle of the day I am ready for a nap.

Went to bed at 9, fell asleep around 9:30 and woke up at 3:47 AM! What?! No more drinking at dinner for me!

I'll sleep for a few hours then the dog will wake me up she has to go out. since she is such a little dog her bladder isn't that big. Or the family will be banging around and will up me up. Then I got to get up and go to the bathroom, then back to bed for another two hours. Repeat cycle. emoticon

Today is my first day joining the challenge. I usually sleep pretty well...but it's only for about 6 hours. Reading the article it appears that I need to change my sleeping habits to get an additional 2 hours of sleep. Didn't realize that a lack of sleep could affect so much healthwise.

Been feeling sick the previous 2 days and feeling weak today.
Had to have naps thru the day, which then interfered with getting to sleep at night.
When I did fall asleep, I slept soundly.

I slept through the night. Went to bed at 7:00 and got up at 4:00 a.m.

Being a loser is a good thing.

I thought I had a great night sleep. Went to bed at 11, got up at 7:15 to go bathroom and then back to sleep to 8:30. My fitness tracker disagreed. It did say I was in bed for 9+ hours but only slept 6 hr 27 min
