I've used the one at the gym a few times & really like it. We have a Bowflex at home which can be used as a rowing machine, so now I'm using that feature a bit as well.

I do not have one but one year I visited my uncle for a week and he had one which no one was using. I used it for the whole week I was there and liked it.

I picked up one at a garage sale for $3 and have it leaning against the wall when not in use. It really comes in handy on days that the weather doesn't allow me a good walk. 10 minutes on that thing and I am done for, but it started out that I couldn't go for 5 minutes!

If you can find an inexpensive one, go for it, but they tend to be one of those pieces of equipment that don't get used much.

I don't own one but have worked out on one before. All I know for sure is that you have to sit up straight and use your back muscle too. emoticon

Just out of curiosity does anyone own a rowing machine? I am really considering buying a simple rowing machine before winter hits. If you do, any advise is welcome!
