Been with sp for about a month now - tracking nutrition is really helping me lose the weight, but getting and staying motivated to exercise more is really difficult. Hope this challenge will do it for me.

Hi there I have been doing the exercise for 10 mins but the only thing is that sometimes its more like 15 to 30 mins a day.. have not been posting it here but login in my fitness mins... now I am looking into doing some strength... have a great day !!!

Had a very good day yesterday with physical activity. 15 min. walking and stretching, then 90 pulling weeds, cleaning out flowerbeds, and hauling weeds away with wheelbarrow. Made 3 trips with the wheelbarrow to the swamp area a couple acres away from our house.

Perfect weather, felt great to move around, and this morning no pain from the osteoarthritis!

Taking Baby steps daily will = Giant positive results.

Hi,
I am still new to Sparkpeople.com and learning my way around the site. I began 10 minutes of exercise each day this week with walking. Saw this challenge and thought it would help to keep me motivated. 10 minutes is very do-able, but can easily be forgotten during the day, also. I plan to increase my minutes and speed each week until I can walk a mile in 15 minutes or less. That is my first big goal.

Taking Baby steps daily will = Giant positive results.

I walked a total of 20 minute at lunch going to Subway and back. After work we had a meeting to attend that we walked to which was a total of 30 minutes there and back. I did great today. I need to start adding strenght exercises.

Keep at it one day at a time and remember to not let a bad day continue into days, weeks and years.

I re-started the challenge yesterday. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical trainer. Today I have a 50 minutes pilates class, plues a one-hour walk :-)! Trying to PLANT OUT my workouts, so I don't get bored doing the same thing over and over.

Hello! just joined (or is it rejoined?) this team. 10 minutes a day seems sooo doable. I'm hoping I don't need to push myself too hard to do it. I do walk with my neighbor 2x/ week. Good walk--5 miles in 1.25 hours. But I just do not do much alone (no push). So here's hoping 1o minutes is doable!

Ten minutes goes by so quickly--we can do it! Before you know it 10 minutes turns to 15, to 20 and so on and before we know it our bodies will strengthen and get more limber as our weight goes down. Woo Hoo!

I increased my time from 30 to 45 minutes on my treadmill twice a day since Sept 1 I hope to increase the speed from 2.0 or 2.2.

I enjoyed and learned a lot from "The Spark" book. I started on July 4th and did 20 minutes on my treadmill, then started 2 times a day and for over a month been doing 30 minutes twice a day. I haven't missed one day and don't intend to. I'm glad the book got me started. Its a good read and much to benefit from. I'm trying to increase it to 90 minutes in September.
