I have just returned to Spark after backsliding. Lost 40 lbs (my halfway mark), then we had a family crisis. I had a falling-out with sensibilities and went back to my old comforting "friend", food. First of the year sounded like a good time to jump back. Now I need to lose 40 lbs. to get to my "starting" point. My goal is to get into SOME swimming suit by summer, so when the grandkids come to swim, I don't have to be overcome by heat and sweat in the back yard, while lying to everyone: "No, I don't want to swim, I'm not hot. I'm just fine" -- I am going swimming this summer!

I've been at my goal weight now for several years and the eating and exercise habits are genuinely habits. This will sound crazy, but I am still wearing a lot of the old clothes, which fit like crap and are wearing out. I really need to do some sewing this year so my wardrobe shows of the results of my hard work instead of hanging on me. Hoping to finish a pair of pants tomorrow morning before church...

Do you have plans to reach a particular goal this year? Health or otherwise?
I'm excited that I'm one quarter from completing my MSN. After so much time devoted to academia, I want to spend this year focusing in the home front and reconnecting with my previously more physically active self. I've been going to WW meeting for the last few weeks and plan to start a walk/run program as soon as I get the last few school requirements out of the way.
What about you? What are your plans for 2013?
