I just started doing the couch to 5K and I'm in week 6 of TF. I just add my running sessions on to my regular time. I'll do TF in the AM and run 3 days a week in the PM. Doesn't really seem that bad to me but this is just the first week...

I've cut back on my Turbo Fire since starting my running training. I'm doing 1 or 2 TF's workouts, 3 runs and 3 Chalean Extremes. I have 5 races planned this year, so running needs to be my focus. I can't completly give up Turbo Fire though as I love it, but I'll get back to the full program after my last race in October.

I did find though that Turbo Fire really helped my running. I didn't run from December to early March and because of Turbo Fire, I was able to jump right back into running.

2011 Races:

Thanks for the advice everyone! I think I'll start on the SparkPeople Rookie Running schedule, or something similar, since it's 3 days a week. Of course, ultimately, we'll see how my body can take it. Wish me luck!!

I hate to admin that I gave up my 10K running program for Turbo Fire. I LOVE to run, so I think once I am closer to the end of Turbo Fire (I'm doing the 12-week schedule), I'll start to run as well. Ultimately, I'd like to focus on running once I reach my goal weight. Turbo Fire will just likely get me there quicker so it's my priority for now.

I think that doing the remaining two weeks of your running program on top of Turbo Fire is reasonable - maybe just go lighter on TF when it's a run day. Either way, pay attention to how you feel and don't over-do it!

I am in week 6 of the 8 week program to run a 5k and I just got TF. Love TF! I follow the TF schedule somewhat since I run (really jog/walk) three days per week so I have been doing TF one day and then running the next for my cardio and have just kept that up - my plan is once I complete the 5k, I am going to go all out TF. Good luck!

I currently am doing TF and Chalean Extreme. During my recovery weeks and sometimes on rest days I add in a run/jog. I would suggest that you simply listen to your body. If you're sore or really fatigued, I would stick to just TF.

Hello everyone! I have been doing the TF for just a week now and was wondering if I started a running program also if that would be absolutely crazy?! I have done the TJ workouts off and on, but really wanted to kick it up a notch with TF. So far, I LOVE TF! Looking for some advice from anyone. Thanks in advance!
