I do the original Fall festivals found in Leviticus 23 in the Old Testament. They have a lot of meaning, and are not commercialized all over town here--just in sections of the supermarket.
The Biblical feasts remind me of what a lot of Winter feasts remind others of, and I don't have to get out in snowy weather! One scary Christmas season with icy roads and small children in the car helped me make the switch to something more like what God would recommend!

450 CALORIES NEEDED ½ POUND LEAN GROUND TURKEY 1 TABLESPOON DICED ONION 1 TEASPOON MINCED GARLIC 1 EGG BEATENED ½ TEASPOON WHOLE WHEAT BREAD CRUMBS 2 TABLESPOONS NON-FAT MILK 1 TEASPOON SEA SALT ½ TEASPOON PEPPER MOZZERELLA CHEESE IN ½ INCH CUBES 2 MINCED GARLIC CLOVES 1 TEASPOON OLIVE OIL 2 CUPS CHOPPED ZUCCHINI COOKED FOR 5 MINUTES 1/3 CUP COOKED WHOLE-WHEAT ORZO ½ CUP TOMATOE SAUCE HOW TO MAKE MIX THE GROUND TURKEY WITH DICED ONION, MINCED GARLIC, EGG WHOLE WHEAT BREAD CRUMBS NON-FAT MILK, SALT AND PEPPER. FORM 8 MEATBALLS PLACING THE MOZZERELLA CUBES IN THE CENTER OF EACH MEATBALL. MIST A BACKING DISH WITH NON STICK COOKING SPRAY. BAKE MEATBALLS FOR 15 MIUTES AT 425 DEGREES.
