treating myself has become a great way to motivate myself. this helps me to enjoy food more, which actually works to help me eat better in the long run. every saturday, i hit up a gourmet ice cream shop in my town (Jeni's ice cream in columbus, ohio; if you live there, i highly recommend it) and have 2 half scoops of ice cream (no cone). throughout the week, i look forward to my jeni's trip, which helps me say no to other sweets my roommates have lying around the house. if having ice cream once a week helps me stay away from sweets throughout the week, i think it's a good choice:)
