I'm going to start swimming because I just finished 5 months of physical therapy in the pool and that helped alot.

I like thinking about odd poses. I like the gentle neck stretch that only moves calmly when I use my angles to lift from the floor. The accident scar is happy when adjusted by a chiro, too. Sometimes his pull and twist hurts. May be this is stretching where tension has tightened to levels of cramping, ahhh!
If they like it maybe they will emulate your positions.
Qui Gong, yeah that is the other one. I am curious. I will check it out. Thank you, IM
Thanks for the kind words, 1grnthmb. My yoga is aggressive and mental focus is a big part of each session.

Margie, the low impact yoga is really good. I have incorporated it into my daily exercises. I am sure their are people at the gym scratching their heads about some of the poses I do.

Thanks for the reminder! LOL

I love Tai Chi, but haven't practiced in a long time... my instructor was having neuropathy issues and stopped teaching for a while and I got out of the habit. I've actually found an alternative to classes, it's a demo video for Tai Chi Qigong that I use at home and am re-learning. It's a great way to "cool down" after a bit of aerobics... my "warm-up" is always walking. Then I do my physical therapy stuff, then this... but if I've been sick and have to start over (hey, it happens! LOL) I just start here...

Yes, thank you good article. I love light short sessions of yoga. The stretching felt good and the muscles were less cramped and the nimble feel was rewarding. Science has proven that tai chi and swimming and the other mentioned Chinese exercise can promote the making of interleukin for immune support. Additional interleukin has helped cancer patients recover. I do some housework but large projects I only assist and vacuuming and heavy lifting are done by someone else these days due to my level of weakness. And I do like dong qui herb for recovery with less pain of sore muscles after passing my last level of reserve limits. Any over expenditure cause me to miss sleep so I do not hit my limits often.

Thanks, Mark. It shows other methods of exercise that many may not have tried or hadn't known they could work for them. Thanks for posting!!
