magic you are right, this team is SO supportive and understanding!!! I was in pain all night last night, woke at four to go to work, was in pain all morning, ended up cheering somebody else up because they were having a "painful" day. They had a pimple!!!!!!Yup!! A zit made them sad, depressed and angry!! An adult too!!
I did not know what was wrong, never could see the zit, but cheered them up and they asked me how I was so happy today,, wasn't I ever sick or sad?? Sure, today I am in agony, hot, electric needles piercing through every joint, bone, muscle.. Nothing takes it away.. I was living with the arthritis since age 21, but fibro slammed me against the wall and holds me there quite a bit. I refuse to sit like a blob,,, I FEEL like one, look like one, but REFUSE to BE one!!!
My attitude is gratitude: I can walk, talk, work, feed myself, drive, see, feel smell, etc. I smile in the mirror every morning and say, "You are so blessed!" and it DOES help me..

SIX YEARS SPARKING!!

Lost 66 pounds!

This morning I texted my friend: "Hay, hay, hay....how you doin today?" She wrote back: "You must be feeling much better today." I am NOT feeling much better today, but (I guess) it is nice that I can make others believe that I am. What do you all think about that? In reality, I am achy all over, have a headache, and not looking forward to this afternoon...as I have to fight with my disabled DH's primary care doctor at the Veteran's hospital to get him the things that he should have already gotten, but has not.

I take Cymbalta, but it does not help a lot with the pain. And not at all with the depression. So I just have to deal with it.

But I love all you guys on SP, you all help me, probably more then the medication does.

Everyone have a great day.

Some days are like that and that sucks. All you can do is the best you can do. I guess the trick is figuring out what that best is under whatever the day's current circumstances are and going for it. Don't be too hard on yourself cuz sometimes the pain really IS too much and sometimes food IS a fine comfort. The trick is moving on from there ASAP which you did when you posted here. Yay you!

Wow, you guys are sooooo awesome! To repeat, bad days do happen, but they don't last as long over time. What used to be a recovery of a few weeks is now a day or two. REDELAINE1990 please take care of yourself. You are learning the limits of what you can and can't do and over time it does get easier. But it's frustrating. But you can do it. All of us have. God bless!

Know that you are not alone, most if not all of us in this group have been right where you are. We all know exactly what you are talking about about, and we all know that if you give in and give up, it will just get worse. You have to slow down and keep moving forward. Know that we care and understand, you are in my thoughts and prayers....... emoticon

I AGREE WITH MAGIC. ON MOST DAYS, FOR ME JUST TO DO THINGS THAT ~HAVE~ TO BE DONE IS OFTEN MORE THEN I CAN HANDLE. FORGET ABOUT REGULAR EXERCISE. I DO TRY TO EXERCISE SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK THOUGH. BUT VERY OFTEN TEND TO OVER-DO. AND LIKE MAGIC SAID, IT COMES AT AN EXPENSIVE PRICE! I HATE FIBROMYALGIA. BUT WE HAVE IT, CAN'T GET RID OF IT, SO GOTTA LEARN.....THE BEST WE CAN.....TO LIVE WITH IT.

If you are just starting an exercise program, start slowly. It takes the body time to adjust to it. Sometimes you have to just push yourself through the exercise but in the long run you well start feeling better. There are days when we just can not do anything. I had one yesterday. I ended up sleeping most the day. But I fell great today.

We all have them, m'dear. Days when it feels like we'd be better off if we hadn't tried... but we get through them, don't we...

The hardest part about fibro is the exercise issue--walking that fine line between enough to make a difference and enough to put us out of commission... and the line changes every day! LOL

Don't quit, because that only sets you up for a pattern of more pain. Just back off a little, do a little less than you think you can, and stay at that point until it gets easy. THAT is when you try a little more... and I do mean a little. For me? One more rep than last time, and stay at that point, again, until it gets easy. Just because you're feeling good doesn't mean you can do however much you feel like. Baby steps work for babies AND 'fibromites'! LOL

Sure, it takes me more time, but I finally GET there... and I get there, being able to still do something... and I get it that my body needs more rest than I sometimes want to give, too. My timer is my best friend, and I use it to remind me to take frequent breaks during the day-- or I pay for it, and it's EXPENSIVE! LOL

emoticon Just go back to square one, and take it one step at a time... and I hope you feel better VERY soon!
