I was told years before the sleep study that my heart was slightly enlarged... and that it was pretty normal for someone my age. I know how it feels to worry about that. I didn't think I'd sleep in a strange bed either, but they told me it wasn't the bed, and that the "wakefulness" I thought I was experiencing was actually one of the first levels of sleep--because my body wouldn't LET me go any deeper even in my OWN bed!

It's worth checking out--better sleep could be what you need to reduce the stress on your heart!

Don't let your fear get in the way of finding solutions, okay?

Have you been tested for sleep apnea??

I had that same problem, constantly waking. Found out in a sleep study it was because I QUIT BREATHING every two minutes or so, and my body woiuld wake me at least partially so I'd start breathing again. It puts you at very high risk for a heart attack or stroke--but I sleep an average of 5 hours a night now, and sometimes even 8 hours--because a CPAP machine keeps my airways open.

Even 5 hours of sleep is better than what was going on before--ask your doctor about it!

I hope not as well! I have been using my FitBit to monitor my sleep and I wake up anywhere from 8-14 times every night; average 3.5-5 hours sleep in little naps--get up exhausted... I'll try anything! emoticon

April, is it called "Brain Wave-25 Advanced Binaural Programs"? I would like to try it; want to be sure we have the same program. emoticon

I downloaded an app called brain wave. It uses binaural brainwaves to help your brain line up with desired outcome. I have used the deep sleep function for two nights now and have woke up refreshed and ready to get up before I had to. I'm afraid it is a fluke so I thought some of you can try it so we can see if it just me. I researched it and it looks good. the reviews are great but I'd like to hear from you since I know fibro has specific challenges in this area.
