I work about 40 minutes away from home. My boys haven't started any sports yet, but I know its coming. I think we may move so that I will be closer to work.

Hi newbies!!! Glad to meet you. I must say this team isn't very active but maybe with some new people joining we can change that. I have 2 children of my own and one step daughter. So total my kids are daughter 15, step daughter 11, and son 7. I just started working for a school district so I get the benefits of holidays off with my kids. I do work through the summer though. I get two weeks off during that time. Before that I worked at a car dealership and put in 50+ hrs. a week. My pay isn't great but the time off sure is.
Good to have you and good luck on your health/fitness journey!!!

I just joined the Working Moms team today. I am on another team that seems to be dying out so I hope this one stays active. I am the mother of 4 kids- 15yr (boy), 9yr.(girl), 4 yr. (boy), and almost 2 yr. (girl). I feel tired at the end of the day and need other moms for support once in a while. I love SP, it seems unreal to me at times that it is free and sooo incredibly helpful. Hope to hear activity from members on this page!

HI I am new also, I am a full time working Mom of 3 girls and one boy, various stages and ages, they range from 14 to 7 and the 7 year old is my boy. I just got promoted at my job because my boss was fired, lots more responsibility, and I was actually going to ask to go part time, but now I really can't. As it is I am home everyday at 5pm, always, but I still feel I'm missing out, and getting computer time isn't always possible, but I will post as much as possible. Nice to meet you All!

Hi!
I just joined this team. I am a first grade teacher. I am married and have a 5 year old boy and a 10 year old girl. My husband and I are part owners of a BBQ restraunt so I am alone most nights to deal with the kids. By the time I get home and get the kids in bed I am so stressed that I sit in front of the TV and eat out of boredom and loneliness. I have bordered on the brink of depression due to life circumstances at times.
I want to turn my life around and I am looking for some support from people who are walking in the same shoes that I am.
It is tough being a working mom and trying to balance work and family life.
I want to live a healthier life so that my children never have to go through what I am dealing with.

Hello Everyone! My name is Amber and I just joined the group and would be happy to join in the discussion. I am a working mom of 3 wonderful children living in Rhode Island right now. I work 2 part time jobs at the moment and feel like life is crazy! I would love to get myself and my family healthier. We are not overweight, but we do not live what I call a healthy lifestyle (grins). I would love us to be more active, drink more water, eat more veggies, etc.
My main goal is to be able to fix healthier meals with my limited time. I personally am looking to lose 10-15 lbs. Does anybody have some suggestions for some quick, easy, healthy meals (that my kids won't turn their noses up at)?
Thanks in advance, and I look forward to being part of the group.
Amber

We're all working! :)
Hello All! New to SP and to this group!
I'm a working mom of a soon-to-be five year old (10/29/02) and would love to get to know you all. I am a Sr. Marketing Coordinator for a Commercial Real Estate Firm in Colorado. I work long hours and my husband works from home. My son goes to pre-k all day. Sometime I feel like I never see him! But I have to work, as so many moms do. It's a struggle all the time, emotionally, cause I'd love to be home with him.
Have a great day!
