It sounds like these ladies gave some great advice, especially the prioritizing list. It really sounds as if you have your hands full. Maybe you could take some time for yourself in the evenings or morning and do some yoga? Sometimes that helps me focus my energies on myself, and makes me forget about my piles of "to dos"
"You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there."
Change your mind to change your body.
I spend four days a week taking my kids back and forth to their activities, which leaves me exhausted. I love doing this for my kids, but sometimes I need a break and need a little me time. Not sure where I can squeeze it in at.
What great tips!
'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.'
Change comes when the pain of remaining the same outweighs the pain of change.
I understand 100%- Just do not quit, do one thing at a time and pat your back each time you accomplish a task. One day at a time, one step at a time. Thats what keeps my head above water. I may be tredding but at least I am not sunk!
I love what the person shared below.
I can do all thing through Christ who strengthens me.
THE WAY YOU THINK DETERMINES THE WAY YOU FEEL AND
THE WAY YOU FEEL INFLUENCES THE WAY YOU ACT.
First take a deep breath and get a note book!
Then write down all the things that need to be done.
Then look at the list and say can any of the other people in the house help with this task?
If yes then put a name next to that task. If not then move to the next task. After you have completed this part then go back to the tasks you cannot get help on and ask yourself if i do not do this what will happen?
If nothing bad will happen then give it a rating of 3. Do the rest of the tasks with the rating system of 1 being no matter what this needs to happen, 2 being this needs to happen but not right now. and 3 this would just be nice to have.
Then take all the number 1's and fit them into your day making sure you allow time for work, eating, fitness and good sleep. If you have open time then plug in some of the 2's.
I think you get the picture.
I hope this helps
Hi everyone and I am sure this has been asked before but I am just so overwhelmed I want to cry....I have 5 children 18, 14, 12, 8 and 2. I work part time about 20hrs a week and I also do nails on the weekend. I am having a hard time getting myself on any kind of schedule and am feeling it. I have to work so that's not an option lol but what are your top tips to getting myself in a better place. Any tips....please..
