I have been thinking a lot about this thread in the last couple of days... there were some great "little things" I incorporated in my daily activities... and I realized one I forgot: Whenever I go to a grocery store, I take at least "a lap"... this is especially productive in Costco :-D

I race my daughter to her school in the morning from the car. Silly, but the running does wake me up.
I go to school, so I try walking across campus whenever I can. For instance, today I went to get lunch from the Library (.2 miles) instead of the building right next to where I was.
I do calf-lifts when standing in lines.

I can't wait to see what this team can do!

Slow and steady wins the race.

I don't have stairs in my work ( I work at a retirement home on the graveyard shift) we have pagers if the residents need us the pull a cord and we walk in and help them. some people I work with at nights they sit and we do some computer work. However we still have ALOT of down time... I think that I am going to start doing a "stolen exercise" and begin walking up and down those halls at night.... it will not help as much as the stairs but it is what I can do while my daughter is at home with my roommate asleep and I have the time to.... I have lately been feeling like I just need to be doing so much more.. and everyday... that can be my "so much more"

My stolen exercise is taking the stairs at work as well. I park on the bottom floor of the parking garage and walk the 6 flights to my office and same for when I walk across the street to the hospital. I take the stairs a minimum of 6 times in my workday and I have noticed I don't get winded like I used to.

I make laps around the office and have free weights in the office

I work in a plant environment and my 15 min snack breaks are spent walking laps in the outer rim hallways with on the go snacks like a granola bar, yogurt cup, or just water. The activity really raises your energy and makes you more alert at work too. I always walk a full loop when running to the bathroom and add another glass of water each time.

Evening activities have fallen to home repair activities. Hoping the ladder, stairs, or gardening are doing something....

Stairs are my stolen exercise too. I park on the bottom floor of our parking garage and walk up three flights to the main level.

I'll never regret a work out, but I almost always regret not working out.

I love to hit the stairs if I have extra time at home. 15 flights up and back down picks up your heart rate and make the thighs and calves burn!

I work for a home builder. We have 8 model homes set up on site for people to tour. If I unlock in the morning, I will stop and do counter push ups as a I do my walk thru.

I work in a building that has 4 floors so for a quick exercise break (10 MIN) I walked up and down the stairs. by the time the ten minutes were up I was alert, awake and ready to tackle my work problems again. Not to mention that i could really feel it in my legs.

Here's an idea from BUSYBODI - let's share tips and tricks to how we've burned some extra calories and found some "stolen exercise" in our day!

Yesterday, we had a picnic in the park for dinner, and we brought some soccer balls and frisbees. Instead of passing to the children to play, I ran around the field with them - it was me, the nephews and my kids - the other adults laughed and asked if I was tiring the kids out or if I was tiring myself out!! I was ok with either outcome... :)
