I already shared this under the cozy fall recipe topic. But this is one of my favorite. It's such a nice, comforting fall stew. It's relatively easy to make and the ingredients weren't too crazy. The only thing I couldn't find and left out was the jerusalem artichoke. When I calculated the calories it was 347 calories and 9 grams per cup.A little high but so good, I just plan for it and just eat a little lighter throughout the day.
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go..." - Dr. Seuss (Oh, the Places You'll Go!)
I haven't ventured tooo terribly far from what I cook. My husband took a peek at the book yesterday to make sure I wasn't feeding our family "garbage" over the newt week (I am doing a full Jamie Oliver week) and said "hey, you already cook this"...so, should be okay.
I began with the spaghetti, but didn't blog it as I always make ours from scratch and can it. We add meats and spices etc.
Tonight I want to cook the butterflied steak with portobello mushroom. I suck at steak so this should be interesting.
