Kathryn: the hardest thing is tracking! But it is the best thing we can do for ourselves. It's the only thing that keeps me on track for sure. Glad you recognize it and are back with it!! It amazes me how hard it is to get weight off but so freaking easy to put it on. It is more then frustrating.

Vicky: how are you doing not stepping on the scale?? Have you taken all your measurements?? It sometimes helps to do that and keep track of those numbers over the scale. Because losing inches is a lot better if you ask me then pounds.

Kelly: ugh..tom takes it's toll on me too. I'm sorry you are having a hard week!! You deserve a break though occasionally!

Well I am doing ok. I'm not sure I have eaten great the last few days. But I haven't eaten horrible. Halloween candy is causing me some grief. But not too bad. Thank God Martin wasn't able to get his hands on good stuff. So I have had a few tootsie rolls but trying to control it. I brought it all up to the shop for the customers. Anyway....it is late here! You all have a good weekend!!

Hey gang!

I'm a zombie.. Been super tired all day. I've got my monthly visitor and it's really taking a toll on energy this week.. I"m sorry I haven't been more chatty. Took the kids trick or treating, had some candy, ready to sip some hot tea and go to bed. My feet hurt. My back hurts. Boohoo.

Anyways, I'll be back tomorrow. I've got weight training in the am.. You gals have a good night. xo

I may initially add on a tiny bit of weight by not weighing but I can't do any more damage off the scale than I have been scale watching. I've got to learn to trust myself to eat as I should.

Have not been tracking my food and eating unhealthy for three days and it shows on the scale. Up 1.7 pounds today. Not letting this get me down just taking it as a wake up call. Back tracking my foods.

Good morning everyone!!! Ok, It is freaking HOT in Texas today. We had one day of coolness but back up to the high 80's. It is not fun when it has been this hot since February. Ready for just a bit of cooler weather. I know some of you think I am crazy...my problem today I didn't shave my legs in anticipation of it being cooler. So still had to wear jeans and well it is just too hot..LOL!! That is one benefit of cooler weather...don't really have to shave them every day!! Doing good here. Lost another 1/2 pound this week. It is a slow process but I am getting there. 1/2 pound at a time that is for sure. Hopefully next week I will break through back to the 140's. Ugh...I have been here before and swore I wouldn't do it again but looks like I have to.

Vicky: I know what you mean about that scale. It is good to put it up. I admit though I am a scale addict too. I check it almost every day and then move it around on the floor too until it seems to give me more of a number I like. Trying though to limit my weigh ins to Wednesdays and to not be so depressed if it isn't what I want to see. The main goal I have to remind myself also is to be healthy.

Kathryn: cake is hard to resist. But today is a new day and sounds like you are on the right track. And awesome your husband is bragging about you!! WTG!!

Janet: you are awesome too!! Love that you are back! Small steps and we are not holding you to being here every day but know we are here for you when you need us!!

I think I've done it, girls. I've sparked my spark back into action!

Hope everyone is safe from "Sandy" and having a good day. I know it's hit a lot of people hard and I just hope the ones that suffered damage will be ok.

If you read my blog for today, I'm back off the scale. I just don't need the mood swings it brings on depending on what the numbers show. I'm going to trust myself to do what I need to do and know I'm getting healthier without a piece of machinery telling me otherwise just because my numbers might be up one day from the next. I'm really tired of living that way.
I really want to get off the "diet" roller coaster and just be healthier. So that's the plan and I'm sticking to it.

I let a friend buy chocolate cake for my hubby because the Giants won. Of course I ate 4 large slices. Well today is an other day and I can go on and eat healthy. I have the crockpot going for dinner. I did my cardio for 30 minutes and I am going on a long walk. I heard my hubby telling his brother I have lost 30 pounds, the truth is I have lost 29, but who counting. I am that's who, I feel great that the weight is coming off.

Hey everyone!! Kelly, not sure how you manage it all especially those boy scouts. That is quite some job you are doing!!

Doing good here same old same old. Ate soup yesterday...it was yummy!! Can't wait for really cold weather for some chili...yummy! The weather is perfect though...cool in the am and in the 70's this afternoon. Going to go and walk later at least 30 minutes. Been increasing my time out. Feeling better all the time!! Yea!! Tomorrow is weigh in day...hoping for some good numbers!!

Hey guys!

DId someone mention banana bread!??!!?! Omgosh i love banana bread!!!!

Ok, so today was nuts. I'm glad it's done. We had a scouts carnival and I've been stressng over it for a couple weeks now, I'm glad it's behind us now. Kids had a blast :)

Me...doing ok. It is beautiful here right now. Cool in the am, but 70's in the afternoon. perfect. Unlike our friends out east. Man that storm is some scary stuff!! Walked 1 hour both days this weekend and planning on doing more tonight. Feeling pretty good actually. Made some veggie/beef soup for dinner yesterday. It was soooo good. Going to eat that again tonight for dinner. Anyway, hope everyone is doing wonderful!!!

My family had a wonderful weekend with the mister home! Hubs and I had date night Friday and went to see "Argo" at the movies (great show).. We hung out at home, went to the mall, ate some yummy food, Willy spoiled the kiddos.. Also went to the gym Saturday and Sunday to lift some weights with Willy.. Oh man he killed me!!! LOL My shoulders, arms, chest, and back never saw that coming!! LOL Felt sooooo good though to show hubs that I have got stronger! We had such a good weekend.. Hated that it ended tonight. He's sitting at airport waiting to board. His flight was delayed an hour.. I wanted to stay with him, but had to get kiddos home to bed for school tomorrow. I'm gonna go watch some stuff on the DVR and curl up under a blanket. Will check in again tomorrow ;)

Love banana bread. in fact have some here that I am avoiding! A group comes to the shop once a month and sells it as a fundraiser! Usually I just give them money and don't take the bread but Martin does. I don't usually have a hard time avoiding it though! My weakness is not sweets as much as fattening stuff like hamburgers and ff! Having a good weekend!! Trying to stay on target! Going to walk here in a bit. Just checking in with you all.

I was just talking to my husband today about making banana bread. I use to make it when i was in my 20's, that was years ago. But I still have the same cook book so I could make it for him but I have to get a new loaf pan. I got rid of my baking pans years ago when I went on some nutty diet.

Lost 3 pounds this week, snacking on grapes, staying in my calorie range, and doing cardio everyday is working out.

Good for you Kathryn. I don't think I've ever had pumpkin bread. Now if it was banana nut bread, you'd have to hide it from me. I love it. Haven't had it though in years.

Hello everyone!!

Glad the knee is a little better Kathryn!! Take it easy and don't push...and yea on the mexican food. I love it but usually stick with chicken fajitas with no tortillas. so basically I have chicken and guacomole...but keeps the calories down.

Vicky:I'll have to go and check it out.

I'm sure Kelly is spending much needed quality time with her hubby!! I'm hoping they got to the airport and all last night. Their weather was not supposed to be so great.

We are getting cooler here too..woo hoo. Finally a mini cool front. Supposed to only be in the 60's today but think it is warmer then that. Doing good here. Ate at Luby's last night so stayed with in my calories. Looking forward to the weekend!!

Knee a lot better today, doctor says i tore my muscle a little.
Went out for Mexican food for lunch and only ate half of it and only 12 chips. i will have home made beef and potato soup for dinner.

Hi Sandy good to see you!! I hate those funks...they are so hard to get out of. Trying to keep myself from going into one from being sick. It just throws you for a loop!!

Well I didn't get a walk in yesterday. Had all intentions but then I didn't get out of work till late. Then on the way home...we live about 15 min. from the shop...I am driving Martin's truck mind you and he led me to believe I had plenty of gas...plus it is cheaper at the station closer to my house..so really wasn't thinking any thing of it..yep pretty much as soon as I left the town the shop is in and past the last gas station...I ran out of gas. It sucked!! My phone was almost dead too which would have been really really bad. But Martin was able to get my mom and come and save me. But by the time I got home I was frazzled and pooped. So no walk for me. Ugh....today I am working on strength stuff. Doing squats and wall pushups all day at work for my BLC challenge. Since I didn't do it last week I can feel it already.

It is way too hot here too for October let me tell you. Supposed to hit 90 I think today and then tomorrow only be 60. We are getting your cold front Kelly!! Ready to be cooler that is for sure!!

Ok, well hope everyone is ok!! Kelly, Will is coming tonight??? Have a great weekend!!

Good Mornign Team. Sorry I was MIA for a while. I was in ANOTHER slump, but I am working my way out of it. I tracked all day yesterday and plan on doing the same today. We are going out to dinner tonight for my hubbys soccer fund raiser. I am off to check the menu and see what I am going to have and then track it. yea for will being home tomorrow Kelly!! Know you are pumped about that!!

I did walk again yesterday 30 minutes. Not going full speed but getting some in regardless. Had another loss this week...about 1/2 pound. Just super happy the scale keeps moving in the right direction even with a funnel cake this week!!

Going to walk again today instead of taking my usual day off. Will wait till later in the week maybe. Martin is sick now...oh how i can't stand that. he's such a giant baby..not sure what it is about men when they are sick. he just moans and whines the whole time. Ugh...I know super insensitive but I can't help it. I knew he would figure out how to be sick after me last week.

Ok, going to run. Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Hey gang :)

One word: exhausted. I just need one good nights rest! I need to go to bed earlier! It's so hard for me though with my husbands schedule.. He works nights so his lunch break is midnight my time.. Grrr. Anyways, started a new weight training workout this week (we do the same push/pull for 4 weeks at a time and progress). Ohhh it was so hard! Also adding in 100 V Ups for 7 days straight. We've done push ups, squats, and now abs!
My husband will be home Thursday night and will be here til Sunday! Can't wait!!! **For those of you who don't know, my husband is working a solar plant in California desert and my kiddos and I are living in Southern Colorado**

Hello everyone! Well I got out and walked last night. Felt good to do something. Going to try to increase it tonight. It is my last chance workout day so want to do a little more. It is slow here at the shop too. Should be out doing step ups or something but it is so dang hot.

Kathryn how is your knee?? The best thing that helps mine when it is bad is acupuncture. it beats surgery or anything like that. but be careful not to over due it while it is bothering you!!

It is not to swollen, the ice helps and I think i will put the heating pad on it but I really want to wait and see what the doctor says.

I got a good deal on some bell peppers and onions today. I am going to make a big stir fry for dinner.

Kathryn, do you have any bengay you could put on your knee? That usually helps me more than ice unless it's badly swollen. Then ice is best.

Yesterday I did 3 -15 minute walks. Today I did 30 minutes easy kick boxing video. Knee still hurts and doctor can't see it until tomorrow afternoon. I keep puting ice on it and that helps a little bit.

Hello everyone!!

Well I didn't do much this weekend. We did manage to go to the fair on Saturday night for a few hours but that is all. I did splurge too on funnel cake. Ugh, know I shouldn't have but had to have a little bit of it. I did not walk all weekend but planning on getting back out there today. Even have a reason to do it. Going to put some fliers up for a local candidate this week. So gives my walking a bit of a purpose!! Feeling a bit better but still really congested. Now it appears my son is getting it. So will go home and baby him some tonight.

Kathryn: hope your knee is better!!

Vicky: hope you have a great day as well!!

OK, on to check in on a few other groups. Have to get my butt into gear to lose some more weight for this week. Have to make up for that funnel cake! See you all tomorrow!!

The weather turned cool here in the 70's and will be in the 60's Monday. I guess I better take down my winter clothes I have some nice sweaters to wear. Don't think I will be wearing these tank tops except to workout.

Hello everyone,
Hope you're all having a terrific Saturday. It's the coolest day here so far for Autumn but a really nice change. Only going to reach 82 degrees for a high today and only up to mid 80's the next 7 days and lows in the upper 50's. For Florida, that's really nice. We had a very long and hot Summer.
Going to be heading to the library in about a hour to pick up a bunch of books I requested.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Hello!! Well feeling a bit better, still tired. Slept like crap last night, worse cramps I have had in a long time. They were horrible. I'm not sure I got any sleep at all really. Not sure if I will be able to walk tonight or not. It is fair weekend too. So will hopefully feel better to go hang out there some tonight or tomorrow. Nothing else exciting. Haven't been too hungry at all this week, sure it is this bug. Trying to get my water in too!!

Vicky: yea stick with Jif or even make your own.

Not feeling too well today, think I pick up a bug when I took my friend to the doctors yesterday. But this has not stopped me from doing 20 minutes worth of cardio workout video and will do my ST a little later need to let my tummy settle.

I tried the hazelnut/chocloate mixture last night after it had been in the refrigerator for 24 hours. It has the consistancy of fudge now just before it hardens and it tastes like frosting. I won't buy it again.

Terri, Im glad you're feeling better and you'll get your streak/momentum going again. I think getting off those meds really helped a lot! Congrats on loss 5th week in a row! That's awesome!!!

Sandy, way to go on tracking! Do you have the app on your phone? Thought it might be easier to use it to track dinner or evening meals/snacks instead of getting on the computer.. Just an idea or thought if you aren't using it now.

Vicki, I have a friend who makes her own almond butter and also her own almond milk! She says it's easy and great... And I hate it when gas gets stuck right there under ribs.. hurts so bad!

Kathryn, congrats on reaching your goal!!! WOOHOOO !!!

I am dead dog tired!
I had weight training this morning and we did our max today.. It was so much fun though! My trainer took some really cool pics of me training today and I'm gonna post to a blog tomorrow hopefully. Then I had a zillion errands to run and teacher conferences and bible study.. ohmygosh. Im gonna go curl up on the couch and catch up on the DVR.

Hello everyone!! Dang, I'm absent for a few days and we grow..awesome!! Welcome to the group everyone! It is GREAT to have you here. There was a while that me and Kelly were just talking to ourselves. My name is Terri, founder of the group along with some other people almost 3 years ago. Some have come and gone but most with successes. This is a great group in my opinion...LOL, but because it is small and we can get to know each other and support each other. You won't get lost in the crowd for sure. I personally have lost some weight and then had some medical stuff come up and the last year gained almost all of it back again. So I am struggling to get back where I was. I think I have learned that no matter where we are the journey is NEVER over. Which can seem taxing but you know it is liberating at the same time. We feel so much better when we are taking care of ourselves. And feeling better is awesome!!

I had a very busy weekend last weekend. My BF's father had his 80th birthday party. It was awesome. We had 280 people or so show up. He had so much fun. Lot's of dancing to be done also. I did pretty good eating. I think because I was so busy helping run the whole thing. No cake for me!! I even lost over a pound when I weighed in yesterday. Of course now I don't know if that was the dancing or the being sick and only eating chicken soup for a few days. But it is the 5th week in a row now for a loss so I'm happy!! Haven't been able to work out though this week which means I lost my streak of 20 minutes 5 times a week at 6 weeks. So I'm starting over...anyone want to join me....lol, I know Kelly does a lot more then that. I need some motivation to talk myself into it sometimes though!

Vicky: Jif peanut butter is my one thing I still let myself have occasionally. I eat it by the spoonfuls and have to be very careful. It is my treat of choice though. But I have gone to more natural sources lately. A store I go to in Houston has a station where you can grind your own peanuts or almonds. I do the almonds. It's good, (not as good as processed PB) but it hits the spot. I have tried really hard to stay away from more processed foods.

Kathryn: nice to meet you. Great job on the videos. It is great to mix stuff up. Things get old and boring. Congrats on reaching your goal too, that is awesome!!!

Sandy: hope you are getting out of the funk!! Hate when I am in those moods. My progesterone cream though has made them much more infrequent!! You can do it too Sandy!!! Hope today has been a better day!!

OK, well I am caught up I think. Hope everyone has a great day!! Trying to make it through the day at work, still not feeling great but was tired of laying in bed. besides if BF gets this crud he can only take 2 days off now too..he'll have to suck it up and get back to work sooner then later...LOL!

I was fine 10 minutes after taking the baking soda. Took it right out. I just hate having to use the baking soda because of the sodium. My weight is up today because of it but I didn't change my ticker since my official weigh in isn't until Sunday.

That's what we all need to do; one meal at a time. I did ok with my eating yesterday but then had a bad spell with trapped gas under my ribs, so ended up having to take baking soda with water, to break it up. Baking soda is full of sodium so I feel bloated this morning.

Found out from another sparker that if you stir up the Jif hazelnut/chocolate nut butter, then keep it in the refrigerator, it'll thicken up to the right consistancy. So you might want to give it a try.

I am shaking up my exercise, no more exercise bike for the rest of the year i am doing exercise videos instead. i did 60 minutes worth of kick boxing video today and watched a new one I will do tomorrow. Thanks so much. Glad to be back.

Has anyone tried the new Jif Hazelnut and chocolate nutbutter? We got a jar on Wednesday and to be honest, I'm disappointed, in as much as it was supposed to be like peanut butter, only better. For one thing, you have to stir it up cause all the oil is on top. Then the consistancy is thin and the chocolate flavor over runs the hazelnut. I told Bob that if you added a box of white powdered sugar to it, it'd make a great chocolate glaze for a cake. But as a filling for a sandwich, it leaves a lot to be desired. I was very disappointed since I thought it'd be thick like regular Jif with the added bonus of the chocolate. I'm addicted to peanut butter, but not this.:(

I know. And I will get the numbers down.
Been working out in the yard a lot more lately. Worked in my garden ( flowers ) for almost 1-1/2 hours today, weeding and repotting some plants that were too big for their starter pots. I don't have many plants in the ground. I prefer potted plants so I can re-arrainge them when it suits me. Hubby got out with me and pruned the big hybiscus bushes for me. He can use the added exercise too.

Ginnie, don't let the number get you down. Honestly, the more healthy you start eating and just walking a little bit...by 2014 you will have it knocked out. I need to get Janet over here to introduce you all. She is our big loser in the group. You are doing what matters, you are starting. That is what it is all about!!

Kelly: you are always so upbeat occasionally you are allowed a down day!! I'm sorry that it was a hard day for you!!! I know it is hard that Will is gone. Sometimes I wonder how you manage so well!! You are amazing and supportive and it will all work out!!!

OK, been busy here. Have to figure out how to get a walk in today and then work on my present for the present. I am doing a huge picture collage for Martin's dad. It is turning out awesome but nothing like waiting to the last minute. Still have to figure out how to get my toes and nails done too. Ugh...going to be a busy long weekend.

Hope you're feeling better this morning.
Found out yesterday that I'm needing to lose more weight than I had first planned. Doctor says I need to get down to 169 lbs at the very least. So that means almost 90 lbs have to come off. She tells me to set my goal to reach it as Jan. 1-2014. I don't think I can lose it that fast but I'm going to try.

Hi team,

It's been one of the longest days ever.. Im ready to crawl into bed and maybe just cry. I don't ever want to be a downer, but sometimes the days are hard.. My husband won't be home this month at all and we're thinking he'll be done with the job he's on now in late November which will mean a move.. but we have no idea where yet. I am always very positive about moving and always think of it as an adventure.. but this time is hard. We've been here in Colorado for over 3 years and I'm attached.. Anyways, we'll make the adjustments when needed.. It's just a little stressful now..

I had a den meeting tonight.. 7 cub scouts and their brothers and sisters.. lemme tell ya.. ROWDY! Oh man! Glad that's done and over.. Then I had bible study and I just love my small life group. They're amazing :)

I did make it to the gym this morning for weight training and also finished day 4 of the push up challenge. All push ups have been done on toes!!! Woohooo! 400 push ups this week so far.. We break them into groups.. So maybe 4 sets of 25 or 5 sets of 20.. today we did max and I maxed at 35 in a row without break.. Then finished the rest in sets. It's pretty good challenge! ;) There are some doing them as wall push ups and with knees on ground.. Whatever ya gotta do! There are also some 60 year old ladies in my trainers gym class doing the challenge too! Seriously exciting ! People of all ages and fitness levels!!! :)

Ok, I'm a little more excited now. But stilll so tired. I will catch up on posts first thing tomorrow.

I'll try to get more frozen veggies next shopping day. In the meantime, I'll rinse the canned veggies before cooking them. That should knock out some of the sodium.

hey everyone!!

Yea it's almost Friday...not quite but getting there. Stressed out about this party coming up for sure. Have a lot to do but wanted to check in first.

Ginnie, if you can get frozen veggies they are a little better because there is not so much sodium and they are processed as much. But you are right what ever veggies you can get in is great. I've gotten where I eat a salad almost daily now. Make my own dressing and love it. Great job on all that walking!

Sandy: ouch on that toe! Hope it starts feeling better for you soon!!

Kelly: 100 pu a day..dang girl!! I'm managing some wall ones right now but not full on pu's yet!! Great job!!

Ok, gonna run, just wanted to check in. Got to get to hobby lobby and buy a frame then make a picture collage tonight. Nothing like waiting for the last minute!!

We ate out for brunch yesterday but today I'll be fixing some of the mustard greens for my lunch. I used to eat them (fresh) all the time growing up. It was only after marriage that veggies got left behind unless we went out to a buffet restaurant. Then I'd load up on all the veggies they had that I missed having at home. But I'm going to make sure that I keep the frozen or canned veggies all the time from now on in the house.

Terri - Way to go on dropping lbs 3 weeks in a row. Man you have a ton coming up don't you?! LOL I never wear shoes in the house either, but I do have slippers that I wear now until spring.

Kelly - so did you like the Honey Crisp apples? I LOVE them!! They are my all time favorite apples....

Ginnie - Have you tried any of the frozen veggies? We live on the frozen veggies in our house. Way to go for getting in 3 hours of walking.

Me well the toe is doing ok. Not sure if it is broker or bruised or sprained but it only hurts a little today. I did yoga yesterday at work. It was good, but some of the moves I could feel on my toe. I want to run tonight so bad, but not sure if I will be able to do it between the toe and my hip issues. I will wait and see how I feel after work tonight. I was up 0.4 this week and considering how I ate over the weekend, I am happy it isn't more. If I don't run tonight I WILL get in at least 45 min of activity! Have a healthy and active day!!

Went grocery shopping this morning and I really loaded up on veggies for my lunches. I didn't get fresh since I only grocery shop twice a month but I got quite a few frozen and canned veggies. It's a start. Mainly got things like mustard greens, turnip greens, yams, carrots, cabbage. I know canned veggies aren't the best, but it's better than no veggies at all. I have to work within a tight budget and the veggies are just for me since hubby doesn't like them. Luckily I could get what I needed on sale so there was no big issues over it.
And I got in almost 3 hours walking while doing all the shopping.

Hey team!

So today is my day "off" but I just finished day 3 of the 7 day 100 push up challenge.. OUCHIE! Sore from weight training and all these push ups, but loving it!! I had to go to the grocery store today.. bought some HoneyCrisp Apples.. I have never heard of them before.. Hope they are good! Kiddos have Awana tonight and then I have a scouts meeting and bible study tomorrow.. we are keeping busy around here.

Ginny, I'm so glad you're here! This team is really great! Sounds like we were thinking alike when we went to the store.. ;) Enjoy all those veggies!

Terri, high five chick! So glad you're doing and feeling better! You were worrying me there for awhile!! I laughed at your Tebow comment.. I just love watching him play. That game was CRAZY, but so fun to watch! My team stunk it up.. they gotta find their groove!!! I'll be patiently cheering hoping they can make some progress soon!

Thank you for such a warm welcome. And congratulations on losing 3 weeks in a row.
I just got back from the store where I stocked up on all kinds of veggies for my lunches. Hubby isn't much for veggies, so I'll have my veggies for lunches each day and have his type meal for suppers ( usually some type meat and either potato of some sort, pasta, or rice). Breakfast is usually either yogurt or oatmeal.

Ginny when I first joined I joined a ton of teams too. I just got so lost in the big ones. We have had members come and go over time many with successes. But we stay connected and have formed great friendships through this team. We are really happy to have new blood here...haha! Our friend Janet lost 100 pounds through this group. She hasn't been posting as much recently but she did an awesome job meeting her goals.

Kelly is our energizer bunny...can't keep up with her...but she is awesome! Check out her before and afters...amazing!!

I've battled up and down but because of this group never gave up. I have not gotten that from anywhere else. Now I do belong to a challenge group. It's somewhat based on the Biggest Loser. There are teams that we compete against. That does help motivate me some to keep going because I have other people relying on me. If your interested next time we start up again I'll let you know!!

OK...well I lost about .8 of a pound. But more importantly this is like the 3rd week in a row for a loss and we know I haven't had that in a long time. The scale was not as kind this am as it was yesterday but I'm good. That just means I will get there more next week. Walked just 1 miles last night. We are having a huge family party this weekend and I of course put off what I needed to do until the last minute. So had to do some running around for that last night and just ran out of time to get more miles in. This month is just full of challenges for me too....this week party, next week fair, week after that fundraiser/bbq and football game. Have to stay on top of stuff during the week as best I can.

Happy Tuesday!! Tired today well because we had a Monday night football game...woo hoo!! It was a nail biter though! Damn Tebow...LOL!! Anyway, doing pretty good here. Staying on my plan eating really good. I did splurge Friday because I was out of food and had smothered pork chops but only one and counted it all on my tracker. Probably even tracked higher then it was just to cover everything. Today got on the scale and it looks really good for tomorrow's weigh in. But it was a cheat peak so not going to get excited till tomorrow's official one. But keeping my streak of 5 days a week of doing something going. I think it is the longest I have managed to go. Feeling better too!!

Kelly: I saw that you got snow. We got a cool down on Sunday that lasted through yesterday. Already upper 80's again. Supposed to climb to 90s again. Yuck. I enjoy a bit cooler for sure!!!

Ginnie: it is soooo good to have you with us. we are a really small group. some people come and go, but we have had success here helping our members. I enjoy the smaller personal groups so you get to know everyone. I myself had lost 30 pounds but had some issues and gained some of it back so starting over again. Please post and share and we will be here to cheer you on. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask!!!! And hey I see you are already losing that is wonderful!! Keep it up!!! Just went to your page...looks like we have some stuff in common. I am a walker pretty much my only form of exercise. I just am not a jumper and all.

Sandy: I'm so sorry about the toe!! That bites!! what did you do?? Don't rush anything, might be better not to push yourself for a few days so it heals faster! Hard to do much with a toe but rest it though I am sure!!

Ok, well I hope you all have an awesome day!! Ginnie, where are you located if I might ask?? I go barefoot too here as much as I can at home. I'm in Texas south of Houston...nice and toasty!!

Thanks for the welcome. So sorry to hear about your poor toe. Can you tape it to the next toe so it has more support? I'm forever breaking toes as I go barefoot 95% of the time ( in the house) and am always running into the furniture.

Well first thing.. IT'S FREEEEEEEEEZING! Literally. Hot tea is dang good ;)
Today the kids and I went shopping.. Got a new pair of jeans which is freaking spectacular since I've been tugging at my jeans now for months but just wouldn't break down and spend money on myself. So I'm happy again with some new jeans. Vanity! I love that store!

Plan is weight training in the am! Can't wait! I'm ready to rumble!!! ;)

Funny thing Kelly, I stopped taking them about 2 weeks ago and then started feeling better. I think it is just something I will have to live with. Right now I feel better then I have all year. I think also getting back to eating better has helped...duh!! Last night we went out and had wings...my body does not like that food at all. Fried is not my friend.

So glad you had a great time this weekend!! It's nice to get away. I'm sure the kids loved being spoiled by GM and GP!! When are you coming to Texas?? You need to come see us all down here!!

Anyway, doing squats and push ups all day today for my challenge. Not getting as many done as last week. Super tired, didn't sleep well at all. But still pushing forward!!!

Hello Ladies and Hello October!!
Where the hell did September go... ?? Wow. Crazy how time flies.

Well, I had the BEST time ever in Vegas! My husband spoiled me rotten! I did not wanna come home, but so good to see my kiddos again. My parents got some great time one on one with my kids. First time I've been away from my kids and first time they've spent time like that with their Nana and PawPaw.. Good for everyone. I'm worn the heck out though. Vegas will keep you up late and I'm still screwed up on nights and days.. I did have weight training this am, it was a tad brutal! But I managed. It's our Friday. Plans are to just do big fat nothing ;)

Terri, way to go on your losses!!! I'm so excited for you ! Sounds like your thyroid meds are finally getting all lined out :)

Sandy, love the running plan! You can do it!

Good morning!! Well it was a good week I would say! 2 weeks in a row with a loss. This week I lost a little more then a pound. Now next week will be the real test. This past year I can lose a tad but end up gaining it right back. I'm not going to be negative though because I know I worked for that pound. I am on my 4th week straight of making sure I walk or do something for 20 min. at least 5 days a week. Sounds easy but never been able to make the streak before. Feeling pretty good too. Tired today but only because Martin's phone beeped at 4:30 this morning. Ugh!! Then I couldn't go back to sleep to save my life. Layed there tossing and turning and my mind wouldn't stop. Annoying!!

Tonight is my rest night. Going to just hang out and watch the debates.

Sandy, good luck with the running. I have tried on more then one time and it just doesn't do anything for me. I'm a walker at heart. Don't like working myself up too much and hating it. It was cool this morning but really has heated up. Ready for a little cooler weather!! Hope yours is better today Sandy!!

Terri I wish we had some great weather here. It is drizzly now but it looks like showers are going to be rolling in today and HARD. I HAVE to get out and get in some walking/running tonight after work. I didn't do anything this weekend, so I need to get moving. Right now my hip isn't LOVING running, but I am tryring to work through pain and strech it out. I hope you have a good day. I know what you mean about loosing for the next weigh in!! LOL good luck.

Come on Sandy, we can do it!! Great plan!!! Together we can keep each other on track. Good luck with that running. Still not something I can do. My knees just don't like it. Feeling great today. Yesterday for some reason woke up icky. Monday morning anxiety. It used to happen all the time, now just every once in a while. Which is good. Beautiful weather here too...love Texas in the fall. Best time to live here! Anyway, doing good with everything. weight wise not sure..think I am the same as last week. would love to lose a pound today for tomorrow's weigh in...LOL!

I ended September with maintaining my weight which is good, but I need to loose, so October is my month to get back on track. I have joined a running club and will be doing the best I can to run 3 days a week! I am getting back to tracking and staying in range!!! That is my plan for October.
