Hey!
Sorry I haven't been here.. Holy smokes crazy week!
My parents should be here at any second.. Got banana bread baking, energy bites chilling, hard boiled eggs done, sheets washed, house spotless, workout done, laundry all done and put away, bag packed, and checked in for my flight! WOOHOOO!
Leaving in the am! We are going to see Zumanity, having dinner in the Effiel Tower, going for a gondola ride at the Venetian, hanging out around the pool.. Anniversary is tomorrow :)
6 years of bliss!

WAY TO GO TERRI on the 1/2 pound down!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

NO didn't watch the revolution. I have way too many things on my dvr right now that I need to try to catch up with. I'm down to like 30 hours left...need to catch up especially now that fall shows are starting I am going to have more to tape. I'm feeling better today. I did increase my walk by 10 minutes so up to 30 minutes now. Felt good. Today going to walk again. But all day today been doing step ups while doing inspections. Depending on the car I can get 40-70 step ups while my computer is working. Kind of tired now. But not so bad. Eating really good too I think that is helping things.

So Kelly what are you all going to do in Vegas just the 2 of you????

Terri, I bet it has a lot to do with TOM. I leave for Vegas Friday and come back home on Tuesday..TOM will be visiting sometime around then.. Ohhhh I sure hope it holds off til I get back home!!!!!! Stupid TOM!

Today was a pretty good Monday.. I did make it to the gym! But I did take a nap this afternoon! The weather wasn't much help. Def fall around here!

Fixing to get kiddos off to bed and then Revolution is on tv tonight.. Anybody watching??? The series premiere was last week and I watched.. Think it's gonna be awesome show!

Hey Kelly, was a good game....Peyton almost got us again!! I hate when I am tired but then go past that sleeping time and magically am wide awake and can't sleep. Hope you ended up being able to get a decent nights sleep though.

Feeling pretty good. Not horrible but a little tired today. But TOM is visiting so that might be it. Going to walk tonight. Hopefully I can increase it a little bit. Been walking 20 minutes about a mile and now want to get to 30 minutes. Not a lot but slowly increasing back. I am dragging a bit today though but going to make it work. Had a productive weekend. Got toes done with mom then took her to the store. Made dinner both nights. Really trying to eat at home now more often. Tonight will be a salad night probably, Martin has kung fu.

Anyway, no movement on the scale but I guess that is better then up!!! Sandy, hope all is well!! Have a great day!

Oh man it's late! 1:15am.. i should sooo be sleeping but here i am, wide awake. I got sucked into a movie on lifetime and now not tired at all..
football today was ugh! At least denver lost to a Texas team! Haha i do like the Texans and they played well.. congrats Terri :)

Can't wait to see pictures Kelly! Seriously you are a beast and it is ok if you couldn't get on that box after doing everything you did. Do not beat yourself up over something like that.

I feel pretty good again today. knock on wood. Glad it is friday for sure. Yesterday I did walk and did a few strength training things. Trying to improve every day. I also am trying to do some step ups while I am doing inspections so that I am not just standing there. I'm ok as long as I step with my left leg. My right knee does not appreciate stepping up. Not doing a lot but even a little is better then nothing. I am optimistic today on how things are going. I haven't lost anything this week but I haven't gained either so that is a huge plus!!

Home from the gym.. It went really well today! I moved up in some weights and conquered the incline bench press.. Maxed out at 85lbs total (including the bar). This is huge to me! I started at 55 lbs four weeks ago !! Yeeehaw! I did however get my first battle wound at the gym when I tried to jump the 30" box jump and bashed my shins.. GRR! That's gonna leave a mark.. I just couldn't do it after the 79 LB kettle bell squats and the barbell squats. Body said nope. I'm really hard on myself and get mad, but I do realize I pushed hard and it's ok! It was a really good workout. I'm home now and really needing to figure out some food soon. I went groc shopping yesterday so finding lunch shouldn't be too hard.

My daughter is dancing at the HIGH SCHOOL football game tonight during half time, she's so excited! It's a really cute dance. I'm sure I will post some pics to FB. We are going for a drive tomorrow to check out some fall leaf colors tomorrow and I can't wait for that! I love this time of year :)

Thanks Kelly...you are always so positive and it helps me a lot!! I really appreciate it! You are right the scale shouldn't matter if I am feeling better. I am trying hard to remember that daily!! Food ruts are hard. I think that was part of my problem too. Eating the same stuff over and over it gets old. I tend to go with breakfast for dinner too when I can't figure out what to eat....eggs usually. I have plenty in the freezer to cook for awhile, it's just planning ahead and taking something out and actually cooking it. Having my mom not doing good is actually a motivator in that because she is at the point I don't think she can even go to a restaurant to eat. Watching her daily has taxed me that is for sure. I just don't know how to help her except to encourage her to go to the hospital. I think that is her only option now. of course she is fighting that totally.

Anyway, ate good yesterday. I did take it as my day off though for walking. But it is the one day a week that my challenge doesn't require something of me so took advantage of it.

Sandy! Ahh girl, hope you feel better soon! Sinus issues are no fun at all!

Terri, Screw the 2lb gain. You feel better and that's REALLY what matters right now. You're body will find it's rhythm. I'm so sorry about your mom.. That must be really hard. :( I will say a prayer for her.

I just got home from the gym.. Holy crap. This week wraps up my 2nd 8 weeks of weight training and I start my next 8 weeks next week. I am LOVING it. I am also doing a 7 Day Glute Challenge .. It's tough! I like it though and my hamstrings, butt, and calves are a bit sore today from it! SCORE! ;)

I'm doing well with food.. It's just so dang hard to make dinner for me and two kids. We eat a lot of the same crap over and over ... and a lot of cereal it seems!! LOL That can't be good, but we're making it work.

8 days til Vegas!!! WOOHOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone!! Well after a week of doing well on my diet...I gained 2.5 pounds..woo hoo. NOT!! I can tell it is fluid and just haven't gone to the dr. to get more water pills. I hate the idea of taking a pill to counter side effects of a different drug. Trying drinking ginger tea and lots and lots of water, but it just doesn't seem like it is working. I didn't cheat at all the whole week, and even feel a little better. Just a slightly bummed I have to say. I'm chanting in my head...healthy, healthy healthy...right cause that is what matters. Did you all see how fat I have gotten again, makes me want to cry when I look at the difference of just a year or so. Oh well...I will keep going. I did walk yesterday and tried to do some step ups while I was doing inspections. My knees did not really appreciate the step ups but think I am going to keep doing some every day to try to build up. we will see how that goes. I could get in 25 step ups while my computer was working so doing something instead of just standing there.

Mom had her birthday yesterday. I haven't had the chance to talk about her much but she is not doing very well. Mentally she is hitting rock bottom I would say. Her psych dr. wants to put her in the hospital to try to get her straigtened out. I have to agree but she is fighting it. But she can't even function for more then 30 min at a time with out having a panic attack really. it is breaking my heart. But trying to feed her daily to make sure she has some human interaction and get her out of her house a little bit. Anyway, if you are a praying person...could you say one for her!! I can't post it on FB she would flip but she really needs some positive thoughts!!! This is much harder then the cancer was for sure!

Ok, Sandy...great to see you!! I listen to a podcast when I am walking and it is a nutritional one out of wisconsin I think, but it is so interesting. It links what we eat to almost every physical condition that we have. Sugar is a huge contributer to allergies and to asthma. They have had so many clients "cured" from those type of allergies by eliminating sugar completely from their diets. If they were local I would be seeing them immediately and skipping dr's in order to try to feel better. It is called Nutritional Weight and Wellness. Good Morning Ladies. Sorry I have been MIA on here. I am trying to get back into the groove, so here I am. I have had such sinus pain this week it is CRAZY. I feel it under my eyes, my ears, and my forehead..... I have a meeting with the nutrinonist today, so maybe after that I will try and get in to see the Dr. to make sure it is NOT an infection. Well have a good day and be healthy.

LOL,,,yes watched some of the game. Had to go to bed though in the 3rd quarter was dragging out way too long!! Not a great start but I didn't give up hope Manning would come back. But like I told another friend...sorry you all are about to lose 2 in a row...:)

Yep think my body hates thyroid medication in any shape or form. So will just have to learn to live around my tiredness some days. And eating better taking vitamens hopefully can help off set it at least for now. I just can't be in that kind of pain. Today is the last chance work out for the challenge i am in. I get points by walking or running...yea right. But can also get some by doing step ups. So that is what I am doing. Trying to do step ups all day while I'm doing inspections. Not easy though...already have 60 down. Can pretty much do 25 per inspection while the computer is phoning in. Think I might be sore tomorrow...LOL! Am going to walk a little tonight but it is mom's birthday so have to make her a good dinner. I think steaks, potatoes, and salad are on the menu. maybe some brocolli too. Did get up and make a green monster this am. yummy. forgot how good they can be. Although ate it so early now I am hungry. Have to figure out what to eat. Can't bring anything in that needs refrigeration now...our fridge in the shop got turned off somehow and it is nasty. I'm NOT cleaning...so not using...LOL!!

Anyway, guess it's just me and Kelly right now. I will always come here because this is where it started. Anyway, did post a blog. Took some current pictures. I am at work so not looking my best...but you can see where I have ended up again. It is NOT pretty. But that is why I am still here. I'll be happy to lose 5 pounds before Christmas at this rate.

I am pretty excited that I did not have that exhausted can't move kind of feeling this weekend. woo hoo!!! We will see how it keeps going. Going to walk today after work and then make some spagetti with turkey sausage and buffalo meat for meals later this week. I did stop taking the thyroid medication and my bones are not hurting like they were for sure. Going to try to get to the dr. tomorrow to see what my other options are. Might be that I am just borderline and will have to live with what it hands to me until such a time I can't??? I mean I believe it has been an issue for 30 years so maybe it just is. I do need to figure something out for the water weight though. think i gained another pound this weekend even eating well. now that is discouraging. UGH!!! I wrote a blog and posted some pictures of me today....not pretty. But it is what it is at this point. I am NOT buying new clothes so something has to give here. Either I will lose it again or I will wear my few things I was able to dig out from the old fat clothes. Anyway, wanted to check in....Kelly we might have to bet...my team plays your team next week...I'm going to predict we win though...:)

Hey gang :)
im sitting here watching football too. Went to the gym this morning, had a great workout but bout broke my nose. Hit it on metal bar cause i was laughing and not paying attention. Oh boy did it hurt! Kids and i cleaned the house top to bottom yesterday. Very much looking forward to trip to vegas, it will also be our 6 year anniversary that weekend. Hubs has made plans but wont tell me what they are. He's a turd.

Terri, so glad you arent feeling exhausted! Great job on the walk and enjoy some football today! :)

How's everyone today?? Doing OK myself. Yesterday went to store and filled up on eggood good. Spent way okay much but cupboards are full of good food. Walked yesterday too so doing good so far on that. Today cleaned house and watching football! Not feeling totally exhausted! Yea...I'll take it when I can.

Terri... You're doing really well with all the health issues you've been facing. I'm glad you're feeling better and WAY TO GO on getting in that exercise! I'm proud of you :)
Everyone walks their own journey and even though it may seem like you are starting from below scratch, you're still at it! You could just completely give it and call it quits, but you're making an effort and that is super! I am sure you can do that streak of 20 min for 12 weeks! YOU GOT THIS!

I got to the gym this morning for my weight training, it was brutal but awesome. I'm headed out tomorrow for a trip to find some leaf color changes and excited about that! i just wanna get out of this house. Oh, and I bought a plane ticket to go spend the weekend with my hubs the last weekend of September. My mom and dad are driving up to spend that weekend with my kiddos while I'm gone. It's going to be SUPER GREAT!!!! .... time alone...... ! ;)

Hello!! Well I think I ate good again yesteray!! I went for mexican food and did NOT eat any chips...yea me!! But got on the scale today just to see and gained almost 2 pounds. I'm so afraid it is water retention from the progesterone I am taking. Problem is I love love love it....and so does Martin!! My PMS has been reduced to almost nothing and my bitchy ugly days have almost gone away. We aren't fighting as much as we had been. I had to start looking at the cycles every month and noting when we were arguing ect. It always fell right when I was ovulating and continued. I mean 3 weeks of pmsing is not a good thing. So I might just end up on a water pill to counteract the retention. Also talked to my pharmacist yesterday about my thyroid pills and why I am having so many problems. He said since I had not been diagnosed for 30 years that my body might be thinking the medication is kind of toxic to me. And it could be a year for every 10 years before I feel better on it. Well I'm not sure I can go 3 years feeling like complete crap in order to feel better in the end. I get to where I'm in so much pain I can't walk basically. It's like I'm 90 years old or something. He said he has seen it one time before. I just don't know what I'm going to do. My dr. is not that imformed on this to know what to do either. And the ones that are are in Houston and don't take insurance. It's very very frustrating.

But yesterday for the first time in forever I walked 1 mile and did a few reps of wall push ups and crunches. I had a horrible time on the walk, but I did it. I signed up for a streak of 20 min. of excercise at least 5 times a week for 12 weeks. I have never been able to make it but I so want to try. With everything that you do Kelly this seems like peanuts. But I am basically starting from below scratch this time...LOL!!

I have also changed my picture to what I looked like 2 1/2 years ago when I started my journey to begin with. Basically because I am so much closer to that now then I am to my 130 pound self. It saddens me that I have gained so much. I am hoping that it doesn't stay....but I also have to remember health is my no. 1 reason for being here too!!!

Kelly you are always running here or there! So cool you get to volunteer so much with the kids. I didn't get to do that so much with Cameren and missed it. Although can't say I missed being on a field trip with a bunch of kids on a bus...LOL!!

Sandy: oh 13 is soo much fun...NOT!!! Can't say that part gets better. My son was always pretty good about getting up...i was the horrible one back then. Hope it gets better!

Well I stopped taking my thyroid medication again. I could barely walk yesterday. I guess my body does not appreciate thyroid. I have been fighting my dr.s and only doing the natural meds but might try the synthetic to see if I get the same result. going to wait a few days to see her and let this get out of my system. I can already tell a difference today...my bones don't ache so much. But that doesn't really help me feel better over all like I know I should. I so wanted to be one of those people that once they were diagnosed things just got so much better for them...guess I am just not so lucky. kind of sucks!!! Tracked my food again yesterday...woo hoo. And am going to try to walk a little today since I feel better. Was planning on it yesterday but by the end of the day I could barely move. I felt like I was 90 years old or something. Horrible!! Anyway, going to keep plugging away!!

Keep up the great work both of you!! Miss everyone else.....

Hey !

I have been so busy this week it seems but can't really put my finger on what the heck I've been doing.. Does that make a lick of sense!?!?! UGH! I am volunteering at my kids school today. They are doing a Fun Run thing where they walk as many laps as possible and make $ off pledges. It rained all day yesterday so the dirt track should be nice and muddy. Spectacular.

I upped my weight training days to 4 days a week.. I do my trainers workout two days and then I wrote my own workout for the other two days. My trainer actually did MY workout with me on Tuesday.. So much fun! I blogged about it.

Today is active recovery day so I will either find time to hit the gym and get on the treadmill or I will hammer out a tabata workout here at home.

Kelly - How are you doing? Whats new with you?

Me - well my 13 year old son is going to be the death of me!! He does not like to get up in the morning and getting him up for school this week has been total HELLo!!!! But that is NOT going to deter me and my eating. I am going to continue to track and make the most of the day and make it count.

Kelly...shame on me...somehow I missed your birthday!! I'm sorry! Happy belated birthday to you!! Since it was on a saturday it makes sense...never seem to keep track of weekend bdays!! So glad Will got to come home and hang out with you!!

Sandy, great seeing you here!! We can support each other if no one else is around!!

It is official...I gained 5 pounds since the end of July. Started the BLC challenge today and weighed myself. I knew it was bad that is why I have been ignoring it so much. Problem is I think it is more than that somedays. The fluid I am retaining is doing me no favors. I peaked at the scale yesterday and it was 3 pounds worse...but took water pills yesterday so I think that helped. I just want to start getting some of this off again. Think I am stopping the thyroid medication. It hasn't been as dramatic as before but the bone and muscle aches are coming back and getting worse every day. It just starts to feel like I am sleeping on a really crappy bed when I know I am not. But it doesnt' go away through the day. Getting very stiff. Will make another appointment with the dr. to see what my options are. Between the thyroid doing that and the progesterone adding weight it is depressing honestly....ugh. But I have 2 days now in a row where I have eaten well so back on track I hope!

Anyway, you all have an awesome wonderful day!! Will check in every day now!!!

Not sure where you all are, but I am back to sparking daily!! I hope you are all being healthy and active. I was happy with the scale today it was emoticon and that is just what I needed!!! Will find a way to get in some Carido today!!!

Hello All,

I have been MIA and am back and am trying to refocus today!!! I tracked all of my food yesterday, and will do the same today. I WILL go for a walk for my lunch today, and hopefully will get in some walking during Abby's practice.

Hey you all!! I am here kind of!! Been super super busy!! Going to try to get caught up tomorrow. I have been a poor sparker and have not been here in body mind or spirit lately and I'm sorry. The BLC challenge is starting and I am hoping this will get me jump started again!! I have gained another 10 pounds I think due to medications and really bad eating. Just kind of gave up. But hoping to get back on track!! I'll write more tomorrow!!!


PS so far behind posted this first in August!! I'll get better!!!

Hey gang!!!

I had one of the best weeks ever! Had a great time with my hubby while he was home. He left back to work today :(

We did an awesome weights workout together yesterday so today was total rest day! S O R E !!!!!!!

Kelly - Happy belated birthday to you. Lucky girl that hubby came to surprise you!!! My baby's birthday was on Saturday also. She just turned 11 and looks so grown up now.

I did NOTHING this weekend but EAT and the scale showed it. I am up 2 lbs, but today is a new day and I am going to make the best of it!! All there is to it.

Here's the new thread!

I was out camping over the weekend in the mountains with friends and cub scouts.. My birthday was Saturday.. I got the biggest surprise ever when my husband showed up at camp Friday night!!!! He drove 1000 miles just to be with me on my birthday :) We had the best time camping and soaking up family time!

I missed gym class this morning .. TOM showed up and I'm just blah. Aiming for an at home HIIT workout later.
