Life is like a Carousel:
Sometimes you’re up
and sometimes you’re down,
and sometimes you just go round and round.
Just remember to enjoy the ride!”

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

It's been a year of ups and downs, mostly ups. I had lost 25 pounds and then gained 10 back but I'm back on track now and counting calories again. Those 10 pounds gained are going to be gone soon and so will the remaining 10 towards my goal.

wow, what a year! i have lost weight, yes. 63lbs in fact! but more than that, i have found that things change for me when i decide they will. i found that i am more than i thought i was. i found strength to say no, and strength to say yes- to myself. I am finding that body starting to emerge, that body i said goodbye to along time ago without thinking about it. i have shown my children that eating healthy is important and have found energy that seemed long gone. i went swimsuit shopping on purpose and left with a smile on my face; i jump on the trampoline and love it; i am not the largest girl at work anymore; i bounce up the stairs; i love seeing people who haven't seen me in awhile and their expressions when they realize it's me. though i am the plateau queen, i cannot wait to continue this lifestyle and now, as an official member of onederland, see where this continues to take me. i am smaller yes, but i am HAPPY!

I AM STILL HERE!!! emoticon

I am amazed :-) I had a 3 month hiatus after my first 10 lb loss and wasn't sure if I would make it back after that, but I did, and even better than before! I am now on day 217 of my first ever 10+ fitness minutes streak. That is one of the best places I am in now. I exercise. I still love my couch and TV though, so it's important that I've added this element.

I eat healthy portions now and eat healthier meals. I utilized the resources offered by SP, of articles, teams and message boards and got a handle on my emotional eating. It still pops up I've recently learned, but I know I can keep it from getting out of control.

I am thinner and fitter and lighter. I am healthier and happier. I am braver!

I have almost officially lost 30 lbs. I still have 15-20 more I am working towards. I will get there. Marathon not sprint. I want to make sure my choices are maintainable for the long haul. Things happen slowly but they are happening so I've learned to be ok with the slowness.

I am loving the place I am in now and can't wait to see next years place!!!

Lita, I am so glad you are still here and started this thread!! Lets see, I have lost 50lbs and have 20 more to go. I should have already reached my goal of 150lbs but I fell off the exercise wagon. I have maintained my 50lb loss for 6 mo (give or take 5lbs). I am very proud of that!! I start exercising again last week. I did 3 days. I am proud of that, but plan to work back up to 5 days. This has been a very interesting journey. One I am very glad I started.

Happy Anniversary Team! Where are you now?

SP Class of August 1-7, 2010

emoticon emoticon emoticon

I thought i would start this thread, as member activity has been super low lately........... So I thought I'd throw this thread out there for people to answer as they have time or stop by. After all, we are all in this together we're coming up on our one year aniversary.............

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I can honestly say this has been the strangest year of my life and while it's not ending the way I had envisioned or hoped it would, I'm still here and I'm still working towards healthier lifestyle. Share your story of accomplishments, what you still need to work on or what goals you're presently working on for the future................. share the good the bad and the ugly........
Tell us your plan on how you are going to be a Success, and make 2011 shine for you!

emoticon emoticon emoticon

together we can get through and reach success.............
blessings and hugs.................lita

Success Will Be OURS in 2011!
