Good Morning Elizabeth you are on a roll emoticon . How is you body feeling with all of your work in the garden?

As long as I'm keeping my mind busy relaxing is good. I have been having a difficult time to thinking about work this weekend. emoticon I watched Forks Over Kinves which advocates a plant based lifestyle, which makes sense. I also watched Miso Hungry which traces a very large men's journey as he eats traditional Japanese food for 3 months. He was pretty funny, the film was a little on the slow side from time to time.

It is is supposed to storm today so, if I am to have any time int eh garden it should be soon but it is now emoticon cold out although going to warm rapidly.

You must so very much appreciate the weekends. And your temperature is, for me, bad enough IN August but in April-Yuck.

I got to the gym and worked in the garden yesterday. Last evening Al asked if I was going to the pool in the morning-something I have not done on a weekend and don't intend to as I figure there will be kids everywhere. I asked if he was trying to get rid of me and he laughed and said "No, I just like the results" emoticon

I must have mispoke as I don't actually see Katrina until the end of May. She sends photos regularly. Our conversation about how hard she was having it was via messaging. It will be a shock to see her down as this will be the lowest she has been since I saw her as a tween.

Good Morning Elizabeth emoticon I love the cartoon and it's so true! Yesterday was just like Thursday. emoticon It's 82 and steamy outside at 5am. emoticon it feels like August this morning. I hear we are in for some nasty thunderstorms over night with a mild front coming in. No massage today, I'm looking forward to a relaxing couple of days.

Woo Hoo on your swim and hard work yesterday! I hope you slept well last night? Ado you have any weekend plans? I forgot to ask you what was it like seeing Katrina in person? A teacher at one of our schools had the extreme form of the surgery a year and as half ago she looks so different, I have known her for years and did not recognize her in the hallway last week.

Wow, sure sounds like you need the weekend Will you have a massage to help de-stress?

I was so tired when I got to the pool I hoped I could get a half hour in but the moment I hit the water I felt so much better and had emoticon my hour before I knew it. And then yes, got into the gardens for a good hour before the heat and humidity hit. I also get dizzy quite easily if bending down and since i was mostly doing that I was glad to come in.

We had thunderstorms last night and the temp is supposed to get to high sixties today so hope to garden again this afternoon after the gym.

Yesterday was busy all day and there is some left over drama to deal with today emoticon Our temp hit 91 yesterday and it was humid. Tuck, a front came through last night so our high today will only be around 81. Summer temps are getting close. emoticon

I found the button on my phone app so got signed in this morning lol. However, things did not go as planned so am home now and probably will not be needed after all at my friend's. She is very strong and independent and now says she has learned to pull herself up and not let having the chemo bring her down. Also, the date had changed which she had forgotten to tell me lol. We had a good evening and night last night and I did get up early and feed her horses so did something out there. Then I drove her in to the doctor appointment and back and to the other hospital for blood tests. So no stall cleaning. Glad I got my emoticon in yesterday morning and will be able to swim tomorrow too.

Hope the drama was short lived and you are now happily relaxing at home.

Grumpy? Guess that is better than some other options. Hope things are a bit emoticon today.

Al is very very happy and so supportive this time. I am off to the emoticon this morning and then things get changed for a couple of days. I am out to my friend's place for at least one night and maybe more. She is battling cancer (and what a fighter). A couple of months back they checked if I would be available these 2 weeks as her husband had some work he could do out of town. Tomorrow is a visit with her oncologist at which she finds out if she still has to have the chemo on this and next Thursday. I will stay at her place tonight to drive in and back with her to the oncologist. If chemo is required then I am there for the couple of days she needs for that and then back again next week. I will get my exercise mucking out her horse stalls lol.

Just hope I can figure out where the start button is on Spark People on my phone so I don't lose my log-in streak.

Saw this on the Spark start page today and am seizing it for the week:
Gym day today.

emoticon emoticon again this morning. I am officially back to the 100 pounds under my highest weight ever. Feels so good but this time i need/want to get even lower.

I did not spend too long in the garden, too much to do in the house but will hopefully get in there again this afternoon.

The 55+ show was a chance for Al and I to get out but the show itself was disappointing. About half the size of the one last year and nothing new.

Well I broke the plateau and am down today. emoticon I did not make the gym on Friday but did go yesterday. Today my exercise will be in the garden emoticon as we are promised temperatures in the high fifties or low 60s and sun.

One could say I blinded everyone with my smile when I left the doctor's emoticon

Yes, I am never a fan of hot and steamy. One reason I sometimes find it difficult in Florida and always want to go later and come home earlier than many others. Will you be able to utilize the pool soon?

My body is weird. Eat right, exercise and go up in weight. Oh well, this too shall pass-especially as today is the pool. I am thinking I may do what I had thought at one point, pool three times a week and the gym twice-at least while trying to lose weight as the aerobic nature of the pool aids in the weight loss more. And yes, i do know I could be building muscle which burns the calories more efficiently but weighs slightly more than darn fat.

Hope your week continues busy but not chaotic

Flooding that bad? Oh dear. At least you made it safe and sound to work and today is Hump Day.

Our emoticon dinner was very good and has supplied left overs up until last night on everything and today I will finish the last of the dark meat. I know the breast is the healthiest part of a bird but, especially without gravy, I just have never been that fond of it. We sent home a huge package of both turkey and ham with my niece but I have made soups and there is still meat to be frozen.

Back on track and am now only 2 ounces over the weight I was Saturday morning. I think my body grabs that water and holds it so it seems to take about 5 or 6 days to rid itself. BUT I saw my doctor yesterday to get all my test results from my annual. She was actually bubbling as she gave them to me. Everything was great. The 2 tests that had me slightly concerned last year came back in the normal range, my cholesterol total was half the last figure (and most of that being HDL) etc. At the end she said I was doing everything right and that it was so good to have a patient who listened to her doctor - that after I confirmed I was now ensuring I ate enough protein as she had advised. So today I am as I start to get ready for the gym.

It's been a busy week and yesterday was a wild morning weather wise, I had to take a detour to get to work due to flooding, one of the town's I drive through had 11 inches of rain in a few hours. Looking forward to an easier drive this morning. emoticon

What a nice way to celebrate Easter. With family but not with a big dinner as the focus of attention. Or chocolate emoticon (get thee behind me Satan) which has already derailed, a little, my swim buddy from Florida as she made special Easter goodies for her grandchildren.

I had a great day in the pool yesterday so feel a little wiped today but still heading to the gym. Then preparations begin for the dinner tomorrow.

Yes, very glad I listened yesterday as feeling less wiped today and today is emoticon day which I look forward to. Yesterday I did not quite finish the work out yesterday due to the fatigue but today is another day.

Yes, making my traditional sides for the turkey. They have lots of fat and calories but if I am making a lifestyle change and not just dieting I have to learn how to eat those things in proper proportions. I will be able to pass on the dessert though, at least that is the plan emoticon

emoticon on it being a hectic day. Thank heavens only today and tomorrow and then the weekend. emoticon

I am feeling tired so after my work out will sort of take it easy. I might do the cauliflower in wine for the weekend, oddly it freezes well, and some emoticon I promised a friend for a bake sale she is sponsoring. As to Easter weekend we will do a turkey and a very small ham with lots of sides and a brand new dessert to try.

Pool yesterday was awesome and maybe why I feel so wiped today.

We had a wonderful day yesterday and I got out into the garden for a couple of hours. I was more tired after 2 hours pruning than after a work out in the pool or gym! Go figure. But unable to sleep after 4 this morning. emoticon

Yesterday was a little screwed up but I did make it into the pool finally. Must be getting some stamina back as those lengths done't seem quite so long.

emoticon emoticon Good Morning Rhonda. Raining again today but that is better than snow and will help knock our snow right back. We can finally see our entire deck.

Date night was good. And so was I-I never once reached over to take any of his buttered popcorn emoticon . And yes, my body loves emoticon and this morning I have not only recovered from my little off-the-rails night of Sunday but also emoticon emoticon and am down almost a half pound from before Sunday.

Back to the pool today and plan to take out a 3-month membership for the pool only. That would end when my current gym membership ends and then I decide what to do.

Two places at once? You must be a whiz at physics
lol I guess you are really looking forward to the weekend-any plans?

This week is turning out to be crazy busy, there were a couple of times yesterday when I need to be in 3 places at the same time. emoticon It's all good and goes with job. emoticon I think our high yesterday was 88 I'm fearful our humidity was low or it would have been very unpleasant. emoticon emoticon

emoticon Supposed to rain all day today. That would be awesome if it did; knock back the snow so we can park the motorhome in the hammerhead where it belongs.

I home that things today It sounds like yesterday was very tough Rhonda.

Pool day and then Al and I are doing a date emoticon and go to a movie.

Spoke to the gym owner yesterday, no deal on getting out of the contract. I guess I really did not expect I would so just going to coordinate the rec center pool with the gym

Stay dry. I was thinking of you and the dehydrator yesterday as I made doggie Sweet potato treats.
Yes, I think my body is happy with having a day off and I feel more prepared to face today. We are supposed to get a warm up beginning today which will spur the snow melt. I actually find I am anxious to get into the garden. me? Really?

I think today will be a rest day but I have the treadmill if I change my mind.

We had snow all day yesterday but nothing stuck until the temperature dipped at dusk. Today there is a little more white stuff coming down but it should all begin melting soon.

Hopefully today will be quieter and you can move on to the weekend not too stressed. Any plans for the weekend.

I so enjoyed getting back into a pool yesterday. Struggled to get my hour in but somehow did it. I come home and tell Al I can make it work between the public pool and the gym and he is not pleased. He really wants me to leave my current gym as he finds it overpriced for what it delivers. So I have to hope again the owner of the gym is in today.

And down again this morning. Got to love a pool. emoticon

So examine the schedule at the pool to decide the best time to go up.

Supposed to be a mix of sun and cloud today but staying at least a few degrees above freezing

Your suggestion is great Rhonda. They were actually having a free drop in weekend last weekend and I had intended to go but life got in the way. However, yesterday I dropped by, finally, the rec center closest to us and I see an option there. The pool was very nice and they have designated lanes all day long. The fellow who toured me around did warn they take a lane away when the aerobics are on but I have the schedule and can work around it. Plus, once I hit 65 in August I see a HUGE reduction in the cost. They did have a gym, but not a lot of room or machines. That said, the other place is preferred but this will tide me over and then I can make decisions when my gym membership runs out in July.

Glad it was quiet it for you and nice to anticipate it. Hope you don't get too much emoticon .

It was quiet yesterday and it will be today as well due to the students testing. It gives me a chance to do paper work etc. I think it's supposed to emoticon emoticon off and on today.

The prediction today is for freezing rain but I am playing ostrich and believing it will not happen.

emoticon emoticon about the tendon which is allowing you back to rebounding and all your other exercises. And so smart to take it easy.

So frustrated over the lack of progress. Right now I am holding onto fluid so showing a weight gain again. Almost a month and no progress. But-no backwards. I keep telling myself I am practicing for maintenance emoticon Today, horror of horrors we are off to a sugar bush. Good thing I am avoiding gluten as that will make it easy to not touch the pancakes but I am already savouring the idea of the beans.

Not snowing this morning but lots fell yesterday and it is SO pretty out there. However freezing rain is in the forecast for later today and into tomorrow.

Yes,I cannot wait to get started at the new place. Too busy this weekend to get to their drop- in but sure they will have that again. I intend to speak to my current gym and ask out of the contract, fulfilling a one-month commitment. Problem could certainly be as it was on credit card.

Al got home late yesterday afternoon. Exhausted with a bad cold. So busy busy with emptying the motorhome, all his and my laundry etc etc.

emoticon It is SNOWING this morning. Al messaged me very early that he was on his way but there was freezing rain expected in the mountains. SO now I will do nothing but worry until I see him.

Off to the gym. I have a 4-wheel drive, time to use it. But emoticon myself I signed up for 4 months with that gym. Yesterday my manicurist (and yes, loved being pampered) mentioned the same gym/pool complex as my doctor so I went to check it out. Yes, more expensive but OMG. It has EVERYTHING including 2 pools. I am in love. The moment my current membership expires I sign on the dotted line there.

Another cold one to start the day but supposed to warm to the freezing point today. Al was in Richmond, Virginia last night and complained he could not wear his shorts it was too cold emoticon I warned him, I truly did.

Good day at the gym yesterday, worked the lower body. Today is a spoil myself with a mani/pedi then running around doing errands.

Back to Arctic temperatures today and then add in the windchill BRRR.

And yes, you are right, slower is better and healthier. I had just expected faster because, I guess, I don't know enough about gastric bypass and figured it would melt off her lol. And yes, she is looking and feeling great. Her confidence is beginning to return too, what a bonus that is.

Lol, toe dancing Rhonda? Should count as an exercise lol

Katrina looks great, I'm sure more importantly she is feeling better! I think it's better if the weight is coming off slower than expected it will give her time to adjust to all of the changes. Glad you got some good input on protein from your Facebook post. emoticon emoticon

Yesterday was busy there were a couple of small crisis situations with a couple of the students, nothing that could not be easily dealt with. They kept me on my toes. emoticon emoticon
