Good Morning emoticon I feel like I am just beginning to surface. Last night was the first in 2 weeks where I was not awake coughing a lung out. I have been coughing so much I have pulled a muscle in my back and in my lower left abs. Yesterday was the first time I could do anything in the garden. But after a half hour I had to stop and rest. I hope to do more there again today. Al is ahead of me i recovery by almost a week but he too still coughs occasionally. Thank you for asking Rhonda. The good news is that I have taken off the 6 pounds I put on over the winter!

I too hope everyone had a good Easter and Rhonda-90 minutes? Awesome.

My sister arrived on Thursday with a hacking cough that got worse through the weekend and both Al and I caught it. I spent most of yesterday in bed and although feeling a little more human it is a barely.

I did an easier rebounding workout yesterday, my legs were on the sore side yesterday. I didn't think I had worked them that hard on Sunday, I guess I did. emoticon emoticon Here is something to give you a chuckle one of my special kids told me my hair was messy and I should get it cut really short like his, so I wouldn't have to comb it! emoticon

emoticon Good Morning Rhonda. It sure is lol. Knees feeling the effects of wrong eating and added weight but not terrible. Have to get them doing better as promised an ill friend I would help with her Spring gardening-if we get spring. Snowing lightly here again this morning.

Best day of eating yesterday in quite awhile and so the water weight better today!

Great for you Rhonda on doing your w/o.

My exercise here is consisting of running in and out of the mtor home, up and down stairs etc. A little better again yesterday on eating. Al loves the pickleball and is heading out this afternoon to play with the Ottawa people. I have not played since my knees began giving me problems

Elizabeth emoticon on no snacking last night! Have you tried chewing gum or brushing your teeth when the snack attack hits? I wish I could send you some emoticon to melt the snow!

My workout sounds strange, based on the amount of sweating I'm doing, it's a workout! According to the walking video I used Sunday and Monday I did 3 miles. That's pretty good. I'm good glad it's Friday! emoticon I need to think of some different veggies to eat, I tend to stick to the same ones most of the time. I'm looking forward to the spring and summer veggies. emoticon I might go wild tomorrow in the grocery to store and buy some swiss chard to add to my daily green drink.

emoticon Snowing today and back into the freeze for a couple of days. Al has the propane furnace running in the motorhome as we did not have the opportunity to 'winterize' it. A this rate he will have to head out soon and refill the propane.
Success-more or less, lol. Last night no snacking after dinner but I did have some cheese and crackers before dinner. Still, it is that after dinner time that is so so difficult for me.

emoticon Elizabeth! It's so nice to see you posting. May spring come to your area soon, how much snow is on the ground? Bummer about the 10 lbs that is frustrating. You can do this!

Rebounding is easy on the joints and fun to do. I think the hardest part is getting over the fear of falling off of the mini trampoline. emoticon I solved that problem by sitting in a chair and putting my feet on the re-bounder. I can make mine sit at an angle and it is a workout! My thighs were burning yesterday emoticon . My workout today was a little less intense.

Good Morning from the Frigid North
We returned from Florida on Friday evening and I needed to get batteries for my scale (which I had not taken with me) and yes, of course, up again. So going to give it a stab to take it off again. I was doing a lot more walking in Florida, until it got so hot, that I thought that if I had not lost at least I had not gained but I was wrong. I just checked my weight tracker on here and it confirmed the scary fact that I have been putting weight back on at the rate of 10 pounds a year.

How has everyone else been doing?

Wow tomorrow is going to be an awful day at work, I got a phone call this morning telling me that 2 of our high school students were killed in a car wreck last night and to make it even worse they are brothers. We have been working on our crisis plan for the past couple of hours and I might have to go into the office late this afternoon to meet with the high school staff, that will be up to the head principal of that school.

97? Desi- Wow. After calling last month Augtober for the unseasonably cool weather I am naming this month Jultember as the Humidex has us spiking up over 100 the next few days. Very unseasonable for us.

emoticon Good Morning. Yes, I am still alive-lol.

Yesterday was a FULL day of sticking with the eating programme in quite awhile. No gluten and actually a wee bit under my calorie range. Now on to Day 2 emoticon

emoticon the no/low fat diet is certainly an issue and I admire you-I would have been blabbing all over the place about Dr. Perlmutter and the Cereal Killers.
Apparently the piragi were good, I did not try them due to the bread. I need to work on them though. The bacon was good, Al said, but I could tell just by smelling that it was not as good as the one my s-i-l used.
Good about the emoticon but at 97 I really would have thought seriously about the pool.
About to do some weeding before joining a friend for lunch.

Good Morning emoticon I did my stability ball workout yesterday. I had a fleeting thought hitting the pool but it was 97 outside and I decided I would pass. emoticon Yesterday, the office staff was talking about how healthy their lunches were, low fat or no fat processed food. I'm thinking no not really. I was good and kept my mouth shut. emoticon

Elizabeth double smoked bacon sounds divine! emoticon The entire dish sounds yummy! emoticon Nothing says road trip like singing at the top of your lungs emoticon

Yes, I had a good trip. I stayed with my s-i-l who is a great person and also got to visit with my niece Katrina. Rita showed us how to make the Latvian piragi that her (and Al's) grandmother used to make. Al has talked about those for a very long time and his aunt made them for him in Latvia. The day before we made them we headed to the Farmer's market to find double-smoked bacon as that is what the grandmother used for the filling. I brought Rita some of the sauerkraut she had showed me how to make on a previous visit and I passed. emoticon lol-this is Sparkpeople and all this is about food emoticon It is a long drive by myself, about 7 hours each way, but I put my tunes on and when I sing along at the top of my voice there is no one to be bothered.
And guess what I am doing today?
I can understand you no wanting to swim if being attacked by vampires. But you have kept up your consistency and been exercising. emoticon

I have not done much swimming lately, I didn't feel like trying to swim and slap mosquitoes outside and I have not dragged my butt back to the gym pool. I have been doing strength training and other workouts. emoticon emoticon
