What is your all time favorite" format" of class to teach, or maybe a "I want to" teach format?
It is a question that even though I am asking it, is very hard for me to answer :)
I have taught so many kinds of formats and love most of them so it is hard to pick just one. It is also hard sometimes to separate the fact that the students sometimes make the class better, so to try focus on JUST the FORMAT I have narrowed it down to 3:
"20/20/20"- a huge hit at my ladies gym, I loved it as well
20 minutes of Cardio (this would vary, usually though the ladies enjoyed Urban Rebounding as their cardio choice)
20 minutes of strength (they didn't enjoy this so much as I did all complex moves-actually they did love it but loved to groan through it-I was the instructor they loved to hate)
20 minutes of Core and Yoga
"BodyPump/Group Power"-Amazing programs-certified in both, similar classes, they are such a safe and effective way to get people to do muscle conditioning, so many women who were afraid of using weights would fall in love with this class..and lots of guys used it as a cross training tool to their heavier floor workouts. High energy music and moves that have been tested and approved and proven to be safe and effective..can't get much better!
Cycle (Ride/RPM)-I LOVE freestyle cycle, I am good at it...don't mean to pat myself on the back but It is probably my #1 Passion in group X. I am very music driven and cycling is a huge music motivated program. I love putting chorey to great music...I am also certified in RPM and Group Ride which are also great programs and some people just prefer it.
