I did Slim and Shape (the Pear Solution). I started this program in August 2010 and after 8 wks I tried a couple of other workouts.....just for some variety. I keep coming back to Brazil Butt Lift.... I need to improve on my eating but I'm still slowly losing weight and I'm still losing inches. I love this workout because it's so much fun and I love Leandro.....he's too funny!!

I just finished my first week of the Too Big Plan. I only did 3 out of five of the days. I am going to from no exercise in a couple of months (injury) to this, and I lost 1/2 an inch off my waist, an inch off my belly, and 4 lbs. However, my hips and butt still haven't budged. My diet was less than great, but after these results I'm encouraged to keep making positive changes. These workouts are so much fun!

Did anyone else experience good results like this in the beginning of the program, and were they continuous?

you know, i haven't done cardio axe yet! i usually run or do one of chalene's dvds for cardio, so i never did try it. i'll have to give it a try soon.

I am in my second week of the pear shaped plan. Talk about sore! That first bum bum just about killed me! My calves, whoa. Wasn't expecting that. In my mind though, sore is good because that means your muscles are changing. Is that accurate?


Haven't been there (and here) for myself in a while. Time to change that. !!! and I can do it!!

Just a pointer - from my personal opinion.

I am very happy with the base set....

HOWEVER,
If I had to do it again I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THE DELUXE SET.

The DELUXE set has a total body workout called Rio Extreme. It's about 50 minutes..... the exercises are way to fast to have perfect form with. So I lighten my weights and go slower.....It is also OFF BEAT....which drives me nuts.

the other two workouts provided on the DELUXE set are Upper Cuts and Rapido Abs.
Upper Cuts is lame.
Rapido Abs isn't near as good a workout as TUMMY TUCK (which is on the original program)

If I had to do it again I would have saved myself the extra $60+ bucks and stuck with the basic program.

Again....that is just my opinion.

What a nice hubby you have to get you this workout.
BumBum is a killer. :o) (in a good way)

Well, I started today. I have never felt so uncoordinated in my life! I have been running about 2-3 miles 3 or 4 days per week and using the elliptical on 1 or 2. I was sweating like I just ran a marathon! I'm pretty sore right now, so I fear tomorrow morning. I think these workouts are going to be a lot of fun once I get the hang of it... I also started the 6 day slim down today. I didn't realize how little you eat on that plan, and even though it's only 6 days, I might just skip it and do the workouts and run when I can!

1200 calories is NOT enough to be taking in if you're exercising an hour daily!! Increase the calories and I guarantee you you'll see results!

I exercise that much, eat 1500-1600 per day and the weight and inches are coming off!

I've started doing Tier #1 of Michi's Food Ladder.
I'm going to give it a whirl for one week at a time...maybe up to three weeks. So far I've increased my fiber to over 50gm/day and my fat intake has plumetted...

I haven't posted on here in a long time because I became frustrated with exercise back when I started this program and quit for a while. For the past 6 weeks however I have been amping up the workouts- 1 hour runs everyday w/ hills and some kind of toning at night (bbl or pilates) and I eat less than 1200 calories. Again, I am not losing weight. All I want to lose is 3 pounds and tighten up my butt and thigh area (preferably by trimming 2" off my 23" thighs). I was just curious if anyone else was having this problem or if anyone is having success- if so please let me know what you're doing that works. I'm 5'0", 110 pounds and pear shaped so its been really difficult to lose these last few pounds.

I have all of the Firm Workouts up to the 'pink' series. I don't care for the new ones - although I do have the wave, which probably was a total waste of money. Live & Learn...but it does round out my equipment....I like to use it as a back stretcher (bending over backwards on the floor over the upside-down wave...works wonders)

I've looked at Insanity, but live in a mobile home and my floors would never take all that jumping and plyo's....I have Cathe STS and it is GREAT....

I'm looking forward to the BBL rotation.
I have ugly menopause-gain to lose and since I sit all day at work I really could use the extra Bum focus.

Good morning all!

I completed a rotation of the Slim & Lift (too big), and have been doing BBL workouts somewhat sporadically since then (I'm also doing CLX). I'd like to complete a round of Classic (I'm still "too big" LOL, but just for something a bit different).

I completed a month of Insanity last fall - I think it burnt me out! But I like Shaun T too, although I hear he's much more serious on the Insanity DVDs. I have The Firm transformer series & some of the oldie but goodie original videos.

I plan on beginning a rotation with Brazil Butt Lift in the morning session and Rockin' Body in the evening.

I am going to start on the 27th.....
My plan is to follow the Slim & Lift (too big solution) Brazil Butt Lift Schedule in the morning and the Basic Rockin Body Schedule in the evening.

I have a sit-down job and 2x/d workouts are necessary for me to avoid weight gain OR starvation.
Neither option is acceptable to me.

I'm currently doing 'practice runs' of each workout along with my current rotation.
These workouts are definitely going to be EFFECTIVE...
I will be so ready on the 27th.

A friend is lending me her BBL DVDs, but she couldn't find the resistance band that came with the set. I'm planning to stop by Target or Walmart to buy a new resistance band. But I was wondering, can I use any kind of resistance band with this workout or would you recommend a particular type?

Want to wish everyone a great holidy weekend.

Yesterday, did a booboo with having chinese buffet for lunch out shopping. did not sit well at all.

Dolores, that is right. we just have to take a day at a time, and learn from our mistakes. mine yesterday, apparently, my tummy doesn't like chinese buffet anymore as I felt like I was going to hurl all night, and it still aches some this morning.

We can do this.

I have had some success this week & some slip-ups as well. I'm staying focused on what I did right and, as Teresa suggested, taking it one day at a time. I know if I keep trying I will get my groove back, so to speak, as I have done it before. Everyday is a new day!

You are off to a great (re)start Teresa! Super job!

I did have a good vacation, but the week leading up to it & the week of I've been stress eating and vacation eating and my workouts have fallen to the way-side. Yesterday I did well with the eating for half of the day, but I developed a terrible headache at work & ending up not working out & eating leftover junk I had around the house. Ugh! Going to try again today!

Yesterday, did 10 min of tummy tuck, insanity pure cardio, 20 min running on treadmill, 20 min efx, and 1 set of weights at the Y.

Hi Team! I've been away on vacation this past week and so have fallen behind on the team threads - as well as with my exercise & eating right!

Going to try and get caught up today at at some point, and am getting back to my fitness plan. I don't even want to admit how much weight I gained! Hopefully much of it is bloat. I'm going to do a two-day Slimfast fast to try & make amends to some degree. I'll check back in later emoticon

Just checking in. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

I just restarted BBL yesterday. i have 8 weeks to my birthday (well, 7 now from this coming thursday, lol), but that gives me two good rotations on BBL.
also, trying to do 8 weeks of insanity also and some turbo jam.

also, today, day 1, going to quit smoking. I keep syaing it, but this time, i mean it. have to do it! no going back.

so lots of day 1 here... but will be successful.

another thought. i've heard yoga booty ballet is really good for toning. i really liked that, but wasn't enough for me wanting to lose weight at the time, but it is fun and lots have said it is great for toning.

Hey BBL Ladies emoticon

I'm concerned about the BBL program. I dont have a big booty, hips and thighs. Granted they can use some toning but decreasing in size makes me a bit weiry... emoticon

I also have CLX as well... only on day 2...What do you suggest?

I've been so-so with my food choices also. I've lost a lot of motivation as I just seem to give so much and the weight just seems to go nowhere. I'm still moving forward, but ugh... just tired of trying so hard, if that makes sense.

Hi Teresa,

I've gone through periods of low energy too. No real advice except the standard get enough rest, eat well, take multivitamins if your diet is lacking. Maybe try relaxation techniques or meditation if there is a lot of stress getting you down.

Also make sure your med test are up to date. Could be anemia, or hypothyroidism, depression, hormonal issues ... hopefully none of those but you would want to rule those out.

Don't stress over not getting the DVDs in. They'll be there when you have more time. I have finally developed the habit of getting up early to exercise before work. It was (is) tough, but now it's a habit. I had to put my alarm clock in the other room, lol, but eventually I consistently got up to do it. Good luck! emoticon

Man, I've been getting workouts in, but time at home I just can't seem to get these videos in. kind of irritated with myself. I get home and the next thing I know its past 9. I am so not good at waking up early... but need to figure out something. I do want to keep on with BBL. I think my days need some restructuring. LOL.

also, I need som advice or suggestions. My energy level has just been horrible lately. its been long enough that my body should be adjusted to the new meds by now, but does anyone know of any diet books, articles, diets, suggestions on foods that might help boost energy.

Hello Lifters!

Teresa - hope things are going well for you with losing your weight to meet your challenge and with your restart of BBL.

I am proud of myself that I completed all my planned workouts for the week except Thursday afternoon, when my body said "rest!" My eating has been going well too and this morning I weighed in at 124.8! That means I hit my short-term goal of 125! I'll weigh in tomorrow to see if it "sticks" before changing my ticker.

How is it going for everyone? emoticon
