I lost a l lb for all of June but I am happy about that because we had graduation open houses, many birthday celebrations, and family gatherings!!! My goal for next month is a 10lb weight loss. I think I have finally found a diet that will work for me. The Petite Advantage-geared to short people with small frames- I am 5'1". My nickname as a child was "Little Barbie" I hope to be a "little" grandma. Definitely feeling my turtle status- I turned 60 on my birthday. emoticon emoticon emoticon

emoticon I went to the Curves in Edmond yesterday and had them Weigh & Measure me. It has not been done since My Curves closed on December 7, 2012. The Gym I am going to now does not have any way to measure Body Fat. The Owner at Edmond said that they would be happy to do my measurements even though it is Too Far to drive over there to work out.
emoticon 158 Pounds!! According to the measurements yesterday, I am UP 10 Pounds since December. My Body Fat is up 3.3% to 35%. Part of it could be that it was someone new did the measurements, and a bit of it could be because I have been Lifting Heavy Weights. But it is a Wake Up Call!! I have to Buckle Down on the Desserts and Second Helpings!!

I lost 1 lb-disappointed because I had hoped to lose 6 lbs in two weeks.....But I did not do as well as I should have. I do well except for sugar every day! Today I ate about 4 cups of veggies during afternoon- I am stuffed.

emoticon Between December 7 {the day Curves closed} and Last Week I had "Gained" 6 Pounds. From what I have read here on SparkPeople and in the Weight Lifting Books that I bought, it is NOT unusual to 'Gain' 5 - 8 Pounds when you begin a New Strength Training Program. This morning I weigh almost the same as I did the day Curves closed.

My weight this week is up .5 lb from Dec, 11. I have been trying to put the brakes on out of control eating from stress and Christmas food. At my age I guess I should be thankful I am not up 10 lbs.... I had hoped to lose 2 lbs but had a couple of challenges. emoticon
